Vpliv zasnove rotorja z notranjimi trajnimi magneti na območje delovanja sinhronskega stroja : master's thesis

Opis: V magistrski nalogi je obravnavan vpliv zasnove sinhronskega stroja z notranjimi trajnimi magneti (IPM) s ciljem razširitve območja konstantne moči z vodenjem v orientaciji polja. Z ustrezno zasnovo rotorja (tj. postavitvijo in obliko žepov za trajne magnete in postavitvijo in obliko dodatnih zračnih žepov) lahko vplivamo na območje delovanja vodenega IPM. Vpliv je lahko različen v različnih območjih obratovanja: z ustrezno zasnovo lahko na primer povečamo maksimalni navor v območju delovanja s konstantnim navorom, vendar se lahko zniža meja obratovanja v področju konstantne moči (tj. slabljenju polja). Rezultat zasnove je lahko tudi takšen, da se meja zviša v obeh območjih delovanja, kar predstavlja glavni cilj magistrske naloge. V magistrski nalogi je izvedena analiza referenčnega sinhronskega stroja z notranjimi trajnimi magneti, ki se uporablja v brezkrtačnih pogonih, le ti pa v ročnih orodjih podjetja Hilti. Analiza zajema inducirano napetost, magnetne sklepe, lastne in medsebojne inuktivnosti v triosnem (a, b, c) koordinatnem sistemu ter nato v transformiranem dq-koorninatnem sistemu. Izvedena je analiza komponent navora in maksimalnega navora glede na tok (MTPA). Analizirano je delovanje stroja v področju slabljenja magnetnega polja trajnega magneta. V drugem delu je izvedena analiza referenčnega stroja vendar brez trajnih magnetov. S tem analiziramo vpliv reluktance stroja. Analiza vklučuje magnete sklepe, lastne in medsebojnih induktivnosti v triosnem koordinatnem sistemu in v transformiranem dq-koordinatnem sistemu. V zadnjem delu naloge sledi implementacija novih zasnov rotorja sinhronskega stroja z notranjimi trajnimi magneti in analiza ter primerjava navora, induktivnosti in navorne karatkeristike v področju delovanja MTPA in v področju slabljenja polja

Comparison of different stator topologies for BLDC drives : master's thesis

Opis: The focus of this Master's thesis was to increase the output-power density of a fractional-horsepower BLDC drive. Different stator segmentation topologies were analyzed and evaluated for this purpose. The presented analysis was performed by using various models with different complexity levels, where a Magnetic Equivalent Circuit (MEC) model and a 2D transient Finite Element Method (FEM) model combined with a power-loss model, were applied systematically. Characteristic behavior of the BLDC drive was obtained in this way. The models were validated with measurement results obtained on an experimental test drive system. The influence of the weakening of the magnetic flux density and flux linkage, due to segmentation were analyzed based on the validated models. Furthermore, the increase of the thermal-stable output power and efficiency was rated, due to the consequently higher slot fill factor. Lastly, a detailed iron-loss analysis was performed for different stator topologies. The performed analysis showed that segmentation of the stator can enable a significant increase of the output power of the discussed BLDC drives, where the positive effects of segmentation outweigh the negative ones from the electromagnetic point of view. Segmentation, however, also impacts other domains, such as Mechanical and Thermal, which was out of the scope of this thesis, and will be performed in the future.

Suitability of the double Langevin function for description of anhysteretic magnetization curves in NO and GO electrical steel grades

Opis: This paper compares the match obtained using the classical Langevin function, the tanh function as well as a recently by the authors proposed double Langevin function with the measured anhysteretic magnetization curve of three different non-oriented electrical steel grades and one grain-oriented grade. Two standard non-oriented grades and a high-silicon grade (Si content of 6.5%) made by CVD are analyzed. An excellent match is obtained using the double Langevin function, whereas the classical solutions are less appropriate. Thereby, problems such as those due to propagation of approximation errors observed in hysteresis modeling can be bypassed.

Rate-dependent extensions of the parametric magneto-dynamic model with magnetic hysteresis

Opis: This paper extends the parametric magneto-dynamic model of soft magnetic steel sheets to account for the phase shift between local magnetic flux density and magnetic field strength. This phase shift originates from the damped motion of domain walls and is strongly dependent on the microstructure of the material. In this regard, two different approaches to include the rate-dependent effects are investigated: a purely phenomenological, mathematical approach and a physical-based one.
