3. Outsourcing logistics at petrol stations in SloveniaRatko Zelenika, Darko Bečaj, Helga Pavlić, 2008, drugi znanstveni članki Opis: The environmental disburdening by means of outsourcing logistics (sorting, bundling, transport) is today significantly more present, since this has been regulated by the law provisions on environmental protection and the economic reasons. Outsourcing logistics in this field with its activities such as: improvement in assembling separate fraction, introduction of new, i. e. additional boxes, usage of specific vehicles for collection and dispatch, reestablishment of information systems and organization of a centre for disburdening of the environment(sorting, bundling and waste disposal) is contributing largely to a better accomplishment of the mission of logistics rationalization and adaptation to new law claims on environmental protection. 4. Multimodal transport operator liability insurance modelRatko Zelenika, Tomaž Lotrič, Ervin Bužan, 2011, drugi znanstveni članki Opis: Multimodal transportation means transporting goods from a pickup point, where the operator receives the goods, all the way to the delivery location, using at least two different means of transportation, covered under the same multimodal transport contract and by only one document, regardless of the number or type of transportation vehicles used. The key factor to the optimal operation of multimodal transportation is the multimodal transport operator. It is up to this individual to compensate for various unpredictable circumstances, the complexity of the business processes, nature’s whims and carelessness. He must also organize and execute multimodal transport in all stages. Due to the above mentioned dangers and the fact that the area of liability insurance for multimodal transport operators is still being neglected, this article raises some valid points in favour of a proposal that would cover all of the transportation means as well as all the accompanying activities with a single insurance policy. The model includes 17 elements of liability insurance for a multimodal transport operator and all values which quantify the insurance elements in 2009 as well as the projected values for 2015, when progress is expected in the areas pertaining to the implementation of economical processes concerning transit development, as well as values for 2025, representing a period of innovation, reconstruction, optimization and modernization. With this supposed model for liability insurance of a multimodal transport operator, the foundation is laid for a liability insurance which would be used by a multimodal transport operator. 5. Multicriteria optimisation in logistics forwarder activitiesTanja Poletan, Alen Jugović, Ratko Zelenika, 2007, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Logistics forwarder, as organizer and planner of coordination and integration of all the transport and logistics chains elements, uses adequate ways and methods in the process of planning and decision-making. One of these methods analysed in this paper, which could be used in optimisation of transport and logistics processes and activities of logistics forwarder, is the multicriteria optimisation method. Using that method, in this paper is suggested model of multicriteria optimisation of logistics forwarder activities. The suggested model of optimisation is justified in keeping with method principles of multicriteria optimization, which is included in operation research methods and it represents the process of multicriteria optimization of variants. Among many different processes of multicriteria optimization, PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking OrganizationMethod for Enrichment Evaluations) and Promcalc& Gaia V. 3.2., computer program of multicriteria programming, which is based on the mentioned process, were used. 6. Model of sustainable growth and development of the cableway transport system in SloveniaSergej Težak, Ratko Zelenika, Drago Sever, 2011, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The cableway transport system is very important for the Slovenian tourist economy. Within the Slovene transport system, the cableway transport subsystem has a specific role because it allows and ensures access to regions which are difficult to access or completely inaccessible by other transport subsystems owing to the configuration of the area. The quality and development of transport services are directly linked to the introduction of new cableways. New technical achievements, which are nowadays used in cableways, all provide greater capacity and higher speed of cableways, which, however, results in their higher maintenance and exploitation costs.
The cableway transport system is being developed in Slovenia, but not on principles of sustainable development. This paper presents a model of sustainable growth and development of the cableway transport system in Slovenia based on which it is possible to determine assumptions for future growth so that the Slovene cableway transport system would approach standards of such highly developed systems. The new model includes ten essential elements of this system for which growth rates were calculated. 7. Measuring the intellectual capital of international carriers as logistic operatorsSabina Kamnik Zebec, Ratko Zelenika, Slobodan Zečević, 2007, drugi znanstveni članki Opis: The age of knowledge has come and the enterprises present themselves as "knowledge enterprises" and their employees as sources of knowledge - "knowledge workers". Knowledge has become a merchandise, to be on the knowledge market. In an enterprise knowledge becomes the capital, important for achieving competitive advantage on the market but it cannot be measured easily. The field of intellectual capital is very complex, mostly because it is difficult to categorize it. The important concepts and definitions for intellectual capital include an emphasis that intellectual capital is based on knowledge and is usable in any enterprise. Knowledge and skills determine the possibilities of an individual to actively influence the social development and ensure their quality of life. 8. Logistic operator - fundamental factor in rational production of services in multimodal transportRatko Zelenika, Drago Sever, Sabina Kamnik Zebec, Bojan Pirš, 2005, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: From its theoretical and practical point of view, traffic is one of the fundamental factors of the economy in a state. In the developed European countries, a rational production of transport services is presented by multimodal transport and the correct selection of a logistic operator. The aim of multimodal transport is to link together different forms of traffic in the most effective way, as well as all operations considering transport. The logistic operator is the only professional to perform complete services in multimodal transport, therefore it was necesarry to enable its further development and, in accordance with that, to suggest suitable solutions. An increase of the existing and the creation of new traffic currents can only be achieved with the development of multimodal transport, the correct selection of logistic operator and better organisation of the traffic system. In the future, the Republic of Slovenia should continue developing multimodal transport in order to decrease the differences in forms of transport in the developed European countries in the shortest time possible. The main task of the Republic of Slovenia is to integrate into the European flows as soon as possible, engage in a reciprocal cooperation by liberalization of flows of commodities and services, and create conditions for the inflow of foreign capital where all advantages of multimodal transport come into consideration. The result of the research is a model of multimodal transport logistic operator connecting the basic elements of that transport. 9. Intellectual capital - developmental resource of logistic companies for the 21st centuryRatko Zelenika, Drago Pupovac, 2003, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: On the basis of relevant scientific research this paper systematically and concisely elaborates the interaction between intellectual capital and logistic services production. Full attention is given to intellectual capital as a factor in effective creation of the logistic processes or in other words, to prove the statement that the first place for achieving competitive advantages in the global and/or regional market of logistic services belongs to knowledge used to produce or improve the existent logistic systems and to create new ones.Further, the paper deals with the tasks of creative logistic managers as open, dynamic and stochastic systems based on knowledge or the creation of universal logistic model determined by the fact that intellectual capital and technological paradigm create the way to new logistic paradigm.Special attention is paid to building and presenting a mathematical model for measuring the intellectual capital as well as the success of its use in different logistic companies.
