1. In-plane deformation behavior and the open area of rotating squares in an auxetic compound fabricPolona Dobnik-Dubrovski, Nejc Novak, Matej Borovinšek, Matej Vesenjak, Zoran Ren, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: A conventional compound fabric was used to develop a modern, multifunctional material
with an auxetic behaviour and a tailored open area for particle filtration. Such material was produced
using traditional textile technology and laser cutting, to induce a rotating squares unit geometry. The
behaviour was investigated of three different rotating unit cell sizes. The laser slit thickness and the
length of the hinges were equal for all three-unit cells. The tensile properties, Poisson’s ratio and
auxetic behaviour of the tested samples were investigated, especially the influence of longitudinal
displacement on the fabric’s open area and the filtered particle sizes (average and maximum). Results
show that the developed compound fabric possesses an average negative Poisson’s ratio of up to
−1, depending on the applied auxetic geometry. The larger rotating cell size samples offer a higher
average negative Poisson’s ratio and a higher breaking strength due to the induced slits. The findings
highlight the usefulness of patterned cuts in conventional textile materials to develop advanced

On the one hand, it is humans who have woven the knowledge of organisations and will continue to enrich the knowledge of organisations in the future. On the other hand, we need to take into account the situational factors and the wider environment that are intrinsic to understanding organisations. The title of this year's conference is: Human being, Artificial Intelligence and the Organisation. The society we live in today is going through a period of great change in various areas of our lives. Although our pace sometimes stops, the forces of the environment do not. The pace of change often no longer surprises us. But the pillars of our action, the achievements of human society, are something of which we can be justly proud. Artificial intelligence is one of the forces that has entered our everyday lives in many places in recent times. 3. Total Knee replacement with an uncemented porous tantalum tibia component: A failure analysisSamo K. total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Favourable results were reported with earlier monobloc tibial components and the design evolved to modular implants. We aimed to analyse possible causes for extensive
medial tibia bone loss, resulting in modular porous tantalum tibia baseplate fracture after primary
TKA. Retrieved tissue samples were scanned with 3 MeV focused proton beam for Proton-Induced
X-ray Emission (micro-PIXE) elemental analysis. Fractographic and microstructural analysis were
performed by stereomicroscopy. A full 3D finite-element model was made for numerical analysis
of stress–strain conditions of the tibial baseplate. Histological examination of tissue underneath
the broken part of the tibial baseplate revealed dark-stained metal debris, which was confirmed by
micro-PIXE to consist of tantalum and titanium. Fractographic analysis and tensile testing showed
that the failure of the tibial baseplate fulfilled the criteria of a typical fatigue fracture. Microstructural
analysis of the contact surface revealed signs of bone ingrowth in 22.5% of the surface only and
was even less pronounced in the medial half of the tibial baseplate. Further studies are needed to
confirm the responsibility of metal debris for an increased bone absorption leading to catastrophic

5. Usklajevanje poklicnega in zasebnega življenja lastnikov mikro podjetijTanja Strehovec, 2024, magistrsko delo Opis: V magistrskem delu so obravnavane razlike v usklajevanju poklicnega in zasebnega življenja med lastniki mikro podjetij, ki so nastala kot posledica hobija, in tistimi, ki so nastala kot odgovor na potrebe trga. V teoretičnem delu smo tako obravnavali različne strategije, dejavnike in teorije, s katerimi raziskovalci odkrivajo elemente, pomembne za učinkovito usklajevanje poklicnega in zasebnega življenja. V empiričnem delu pa smo raziskovali, kako se usklajevanje poklicnega in zasebnega življenja, stopnja stresa in uporabljene strategije razlikujejo glede na vzgib za ustanovitev podjetja. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika smo ugotovili, da ni statistično značilnih razlik v usklajevanju poklicnega in zasebnega življenja ter doživljanju stresa glede na vzgib za ustanovitev podjetja, čeprav lastniki podjetij, ki so nastala iz hobija, pogosto izkazujejo višjo raven motivacije in navdušenja nad delom. Prav tako več časa posvečajo prostočasnim aktivnostim, kot sta druženje z družino in šport, kar prispeva k boljšemu obvladovanju stresa. Se pa pogosteje soočajo s težavami pri postavljanju meja med delom in prostim časom, saj pogosto zaznavajo delo kot del svojega hobija. Vsi lastniki mikro podjetij se večinoma poslužujejo osnovnih strategij za usklajevanje poklicnega in zasebnega življenja, kot sta določanje prioritet in vključevanje prostočasnih aktivnosti (oziroma rednih odmorov med delom) za zmanjševanje stresa. Zaključili smo s spoznanjem, da bi bilo treba za relevantnejše rezultate pri anketi upoštevati še osebnostne lastnosti posameznika, ki so za doživljanje stresa in zmožnost postavljanja meja zelo pomembne. 6. Analiza in primerjava proizvodnje električne energije po starosti različnih sončnih elektrarn : diplomsko deloŽiga Novak, 2025, diplomsko delo Opis: Diplomsko delo obravnava delovanje dveh sončnih elektrarn, postavljenih v letih 2014 in 2021, ter analizira njuno proizvodnjo električne energije. Na podlagi podatkov, pridobljenih z merilnih naprav v 15-minutnih časovnih intervalih, je bila izvedena podrobna analiza letne, mesečne in dnevne proizvodnje električne energije obeh sončnih elektrarn. Poseben poudarek je bil namenjen primerjavi njunih zmogljivosti v enakih meteoroloških razmerah, pri čemer so bile ocenjene razlike v učinkovitosti in obratovanju. V analizo so bili vključeni meteorološki podatki, pridobljeni iz Agencije Republike Slovenije za okolje, ki so omogočili poglobljen vpogled v vpliv gostote moči sončnega sevanja in temperature okolice na delovanje sončnih elektrarn. Na podlagi teh podatkov je bila ocenjena sezonska variabilnost energijskega izplena, pri čemer so bili identificirani ključni dejavniki, ki vplivajo na proizvodnjo električne energije. 7. Rudarjenje asociativnih pravil v poslovnih aplikacijahAljaž Lipar, 2025, magistrsko delo Opis: V magistrski nalogi smo obravnavali tehniko, poimenovano rudarjenje asociativnih pravil, katere namen je odkrivanje in podrobno razumevanje skritih vzorcev v podatkih. Odkrite skrite vzorce pa predstavljajo asociativna pravila, ki se pri tem postopku ustvarijo in služijo kot smernice za priporočanje izdelkov ali produktov, optimizacijo zalog in analizo nakupovalnih navad. Predstavili smo tudi, kaj so optimizacijski algoritmi, ki jih rudarjenje asociativnih pravil uporablja, in kako delujejo. Velik poudarek smo podali tudi na personalizacijo, kaj je, kakšne
vplive ima na ljudi, prav tako pa smo podali par praktičnih primerov. Nato smo opisali orodja, ki smo jih uporabljali, podrobneje predstavili uARMSolver ter kako ga vzpostaviti in uporabiti. Nato smo opisali našo izdelano rešitev, na koncu pa opravili še analizo ter interpretacijo rezultatov. 8. 7th International Conference on Technologies & Business Models for Circular Economy : Conference Proceedings2025, zbornik Opis: The 7th International Conference on Technologies & Business Models for Circular Economy (TBMCE) was organized by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the University of Maribor in collaboration with the Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership – Networks for the transition into circular economy (SRIP – Circular economy), managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Štajerska. The event took place from September 4 to 6, 2024 in Portorož, Slovenia, at the Grand Hotel Bernardin. The conference focused on the current challenges and opportunities related to technological development and society's responsibility in the transition to a more sustainable and circular management of resources. The conference program included a round table on "Circular Economy Transition in the South-East Europe", 5 panel discussions, plenary and 2 keynote speeches as well as oral and poster presentations. The conference was held under the patronage of the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport and the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development. EIT RawMaterials RIS Hub Adria, SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency, and Pomurje Technology Park (as part of the GREENE 4.0 and CI-Hub projects) joined us as co-organizers.
