The impact of individuals’ involvement in environmental conservation, community development, and social change initiatives for sustainable value creation is of considerable importance in the pursuit of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The objective of this study is to examine the contribution of youth engagement in the creation of sustainable value by analyzing their comprehension and prioritization of the 17 SDGs, with the goal of achieving sustainable development and sustainability. The researchers conducted a study on a sample of 1085 individuals between the ages of 14 and 30, who were selected from three distinct countries within the Western Balkan region—the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Northern Macedonia. The data were analyzed using factor analysis in conjunction with descriptive and inferential statistics. The survey findings indicate that poverty, hunger, and access to adequate healthcare are the primary SDGs and societal challenges confronting the youth in these nations. Furthermore, it emphasizes the significance of both formal and informal education among youth as a catalyst for societal transformation for sustainable value creation. 2. Unraveling the antibiofilm activity of a new nanogold resin for dentures and epithesisVera Ivanović, Danica Popović Antić, Sanja Petrović, Rebeka Rudolf, Peter Majerič, Miloš Lazarević, Igor Djordjević, Vojkan Lazić, Milena Radunović, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Dentures and epitheses are mostly made from poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), which
does not show antimicrobial properties. They present reservoirs of microorganisms grown in
biofilms. The aim of this study is to prepare a PMMA enriched with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)-
PMMA/AuNPs and the examination of its physical, mechanical and antimicrobial properties. The
AuNPS were synthetized from HAuCl4 using the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method with lyophilization. The PMMA/AuNP samples were compared to PMMA samples. Density was measured by
pycnometer. Microhardness was evaluated using the Vickers hardness test. Monomicrobial biofilm
formation (Streptococcus mitis, Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli) was measured by colony-forming units (CFUs) and MTT test and visualized by SEM. AuNP release was
measured indirectly (the CFUs of the medium around the sample). The density and microhardness
of the PMMA/AuNPs were similar to those of the PMMA. CFU and MTT values for the biofilms
formed on the PMMA for each of the tested species were higher than those of the biofilms formed on
the PMMA/AuNPs. The CFUs of the medium around the sample were similar for both materials.
PMMA/AuNPs showed a significant reduction in the monomicrobial biofilms of all tested species.
AuNPs are not released from PMMA/AuNPs. Density, indirect measurement of residual monomer
and dentures weight were similar between PMMA and PMMA/AuNPs. Microhardness, as a measure

4. Analiza digitalnega trženjskega komuniciranja podjetja nikeJelena Petrović, 2024, diplomsko delo Opis: Z napredkom tehnologije je podjetje Nike prilagodilo svoje trženjske strategije, pri čemer je vse večjo pozornost posvetilo uporabi digitalnih komunikacijskih kanalov. V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge smo pregledali ključne koncepte in teorije komunikacije v mednarodnem trženju, s posebnim poudarkom na digitalnih komunikacijskih kanalih, kot so družbena omrežja in e-pošta. Analizirali smo njihove značilnosti, prednosti ter izzive, ter raziskali vpliv digitalnih komunikacijskih strategij na prepoznavnost blagovne znamke in prodajo v mednarodnem okolju. Prav tako smo primerjali učinkovitost digitalnih strategij s tradicionalnimi pristopi komuniciranja.
V empiričnem delu smo se osredotočili na podjetje Nike, kjer smo pridobili podatke o uporabi različnih digitalnih komunikacijskih kanalov za komuniciranje s ciljnimi trgi. Analizirali smo zbrane podatke ter identificirali ključne dejavnike, ki vplivajo na uspešnost digitalnega komuniciranja podjetja Nike v mednarodnem trženju. Ugotovili smo, da Nike uspešno uporablja digitalne kanale, vendar obstajajo še dodatne priložnosti za izboljšanje učinkovitosti in prilagoditev strategij različnim kulturnim okoljem. 5. Skimming goljufije v Sloveniji : diplomsko delo visokošolskega študijskega programa Informacijska varnostNik Petrović, 2024, diplomsko delo Opis: Skimming goljufije so vrsta finančnih goljufij, kjer goljufi pridobijo podatke o kreditnih karticah brez vednosti imetnikov kartic. Ta vrsta goljufije se običajno izvaja z uporabo naprav, imenovanih skimmerji, ki se pritrdijo na bankomate ali druge naprave za elektronsko plačevanje. Ko žrtve uporabijo svoje plačilne kartice na teh napravah, skimmerji preberejo in shranijo osebne podatke s kartice. Skimming naprave so pogosto zelo težko zaznati, saj so oblikovane tako, da se popolnoma prilegajo zakonitim napravam. Goljufi nato pridobljene podatke uporabijo za izdelavo ponarejenih kartic, s katerimi nato dvignejo gotovino ali opravijo nakupe na račun žrtve. Poleg fizičnih skimming naprav obstajajo tudi digitalne metode, kot je spletni skimming kjer vnesena zlonamerna koda zajame podatke plačilnih kartic, katere uporabniki vnesejo med nakupom. Te metode omogočajo goljufom pridobivanje podatkov na daljavo, kar še dodatno otežuje možnost odkrivanja goljufij.
Namen zaključnega dela je izpostaviti in opozoriti na ključne nevarnosti ter pridobiti poglobljeno razumevanje skimming goljufij, kot tudi preučiti posledice, ki izhajajo iz teh goljufij in ugotoviti kako to vpliva na zaupanje v plačilne sisteme in finančne institucije. S pomočjo vprašalnika si prizadevamo ugotoviti kakšno poznavanje ter izkušnje imajo uporabniki bančnih storitev v Sloveniji s skimming goljufijami.
Rezultati raziskave kažejo primerjavo raznih karakteristik posameznikov in njihovimi izkušnjami s skimming goljufijami. Ugotovili smo, da večina oseb ni bila žrtev skimming goljufije. Med tistimi, ki so bile, je večina ob zaznavi goljufije obvestila banko. 6. Vine canopy reconstruction and assessment with terrestrial lidar and aerial imagingIgor Petrović, Matej Sečnik, Marko Hočevar, Peter Berk, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: For successful dosing of plant protection products, the characteristics of the vine canopies should be known, based on which the spray amount should be dosed. In the field experiment, we compared two optical experimental methods, terrestrial lidar and aerial photogrammetry, with manual defoliation of some selected vines. Like those of other authors, our results show that both terrestrial lidar and aerial photogrammetry were able to represent the canopy well with correlation coefficients around 0.9 between the measured variables and the number of leaves. We found that in the case of aerial photogrammetry, significantly more points were found in the point cloud, but this depended on the choice of the ground sampling distance. Our results show that in the case of aerial UAS photogrammetry, subdividing the vine canopy segments to 5 × 5 cm gives the best representation of the volume of vine canopies. 8. Kardiotoksičnost in več-organska odpoved zaradi zastrupitve z valproatom : case report and review of the literatureMitja Letonja, Danijel Petrovič, 2009, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: We report the case of severe valproate intoxication presenting as multiorgan failure. This is the first report to describe severe cardiac involvement, in which a 19-year-old woman developed atrial fibrillation, diffuse T wave inversion and QT c interval prolongation with elevated specific biochemical markers of myocardial damage. After 7 days of treatment, including supportive care, gas tric lavage, activated charcoal, mannitol and hemodialysis, the patient recovered completely . After the poisoning there were no patho- logical echocardiographic changes and one month after discharge exercise stress testing did not provoke ischemia or arrhythmias. Methods: A total of 289 subjects with DMT2 and 157 healthy subjects were enrolled in this prospective cross-sectional study. Leveles of total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), triglycerides, fasting, blood glucose, fribrinogen, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) were measured using standard biochemical methods. Carotid atherosclerosis was assessed by ultrasonography. Intima media thickness (IMT), plaque type and plaque score were also determined. 10. Factors associated with gastrointestinal dysmotility in critically ill patientsNemanja Petrović, Miodrag Žunić, Ana Pejčić, Miloš Milosavljević, Slobodan Janković, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Critical illness may disrupt nutritional, protective, immune, and endocrine functions of the gastrointestinal tract, leading to a state of gastrointestinal dysmotility. We aimed to identify factors associated with the occurrence of gastrointestinal dysmotility in critically ill patients. A cross-sectional retrospective study was conducted, using patient files as a source of data. The study included 185 critically ill patients treated in the intensive care unit of the University Clinical Center, Kragujevac, Serbia, from January 1, 2016, to January 1, 2022. Significant risk factors associated with some form of gastrointestinal dysmotility were acute kidney injury (with paralytic ileus, nausea, vomiting, and constipation), recent abdominal surgery (with ileus, nausea, vomiting, and constipation), mechanical ventilation (with ileus, and nausea), age (with ileus and constipation), and use of certain medication such as opioids (with ileus, gastro-esophageal reflux, nausea, vomiting, and constipation), antidepressants (with ileus, nausea, and vomiting), and antidiabetics (with ileus). On the other hand, Charlson comorbidity index had divergent effects, depending on the form of gastrointestinal dysmotility: it increased the risk of gastro-esophageal reflux but protected against ileus, nausea, and vomiting. In clonclusion, recognition of factors associated with gastrointestinal dysmotility should initiate preventative measures and, thus, accelerate the recovery of critically ill.
