Opis: V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili tehnološke dosežke v slovenskih rudnikih od njihovih začetkov do danes, podrobneje pa smo tehnološke dosežke predstavili v Premogovniku Velenje, d. d. V drugem poglavju tako najprej opredeljujemo pojme rudnik, premogovnik in tehnologija, predstavimo rudnike in premogovnike v Sloveniji ter opredelimo premog kot primarni vir energije v Sloveniji in v svetu. Izbrane rudnike v Sloveniji, njihovo zgodovino in predstavitev, tehnološke dosežke, Premogovnik Velenje ter njegove tehnološke dosežke pa predstavljamo v nadaljevanju diplomskega dela.

Opis: V diplomski nalogi sem predstavil trgovanje s premogom po svetu in njegove cene. Predstavljene so naslednje dejavnosti: proizvodnja, poraba, zaloga, uvoz in izvoz premoga. Opisal sem države, pomembne za svetovni trg premoga in načine uporabe premoga. Cilj diplome je predstaviti, zakaj je premog še vedno tako pomemben energetski vir.

Opis: V diplomski nalogi so predstavljene zaloge, proizvodnja in poraba premoga v Sloveniji. Omejili smo se na časovno obdobje med letoma 1991 in 2012. Namen diplomske naloge je predstaviti, kje in koliko premoga se proizvede, kje in kakšne so zaloge premoga, kje in kako se porabi premog v Sloveniji ter vse to analizirati.

STANJE PREMOGA V SLOVENIJI IN SVETU

Opis: Predmet raziskovanja je stanje premoga v Sloveniji in svetu. Raziskali smo, kolikšne so zaloge premoga ter koliko let bo premog še vir energije. Pridobivanje premoga se glede na geološke pogoje lahko izvaja jamsko ali podzemno in površinsko ali nadzemno. Poznamo tri vrste premoga, in sicer lignit, rjavi premog ter črni premog. Nadalje te vrste premoga delimo tudi glede na kurilnost, saj se razlikujejo glede na kvaliteto.

CENE ENERGENTOV IN PRIMARNIH VIROV V SLOVENIJI IN SVETU

Opis: V zaključnem delu so kratko predstavljeni primarni viri. Navedeni so njihovi krajši opisi, ter prednosti in slabosti. Poudarek diplomske dela pa bazira na njihovih cenah, ki veljajo v Sloveniji in svetu. Prav tako je predstavljeno gibanje teh cen na svetovnih trgih. V sklepnem delu naloge je predstavljen strošek ogrevanja z različnimi energenti in strošek ogrevanje naše domače hiše v prejšnji zimi.

Underground coal gasification - the Velenje coal mine energy and economic calculations

Opis: Underground coal gasification (UCG) is a viable possibility for the exploitation of vast coal deposits that are unreachable by conventional mining and can meet the energy, economic and environmental demands of the 21st century. Due to the complexity of the process, and the site-specific coal and seam properties, it is important to acknowledge all the available data and past experiences, in order to conduct a successful UCG operation. Slovenia has huge unmined reserves of coal, and therefore offers the possibility of an alternative use of this domestic primary energy source. According to the available underground coal gasification technology, the energy and economic assessment for the exploitation of coal to generate electricity and heat was made. A new procedure for the estimation of the energy efficiency of the coal gasification process, which is also used to compare the energy analyses for different examples of coal exploitation, was proposed, as well as the technological schemes and plant operating mode in Velenje, and the use of produced synthetic coal gas (syngas). The proposed location for the pilot demonstration experiment in Velenje Coal Mine was reviewed and the viability of the underground coal gasification project in Velenje was determined.

Monitoring and analyses of seismic events at the Velenje coal mine

Opis: Complaints about ground shaking and tremors were regularly addressed to the management of the Velenje Coal Mine. A micro-seismic monitoring system was set up on the surface in nearby urban areas and also directly in the vicinity of the mining activities. The results of these measurements were carefully analysed and presented to the public together with various safe-vibration-limit standards (in this case national standards). A system for automatically publishing measurements immediately after the event is recorded was also set up. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in the number of complaints. Routine micro-seismic monitoring became part of the regular monitoring of mining activities as some patterns of seismic response to mass mining were revealed.

An analysis of the geomechanical processes in coal mining using the Velenje mining method

Opis: With in-depth geomechanical analyses of sub-level mining using the longwall mining method we can identify the relationships between the physical and mechanical parameters of geological materials, depending on the intensity of the coal extraction. The extent and the intensity of the mining operations impose impacts on the stresses and cause deformation changes in the rocks and in the coal seams on a broader area of excavations. The method of sub-level coal extraction requires multi-caving of the hanging-wall layers, which are recompressed, and in sub-level stoping each represents a hanging wall. The repeating processes of caving-in and compression, from the aspect of the theory of plasticity, have been relatively little researched because every such process brings about structural changes in natural, multi-caved and recompressed materials in the hanging wall. The intensity of the coal extraction has direct impacts on the surrounding and distant mining areas. Extensive stress and deformation changes in the surrounding area, and in the mine, represent a safety hazard for the employees, since the supporting system in the mine roadway could collapse. Therefore, a controlled excavation of the coal, and a good understanding of the geomechanical properties of all the materials and processes involved, is extremely important for planning and managing economic production, while also ensuring safe mining operations. A numerical model that allows for in-depth analyses of the geomechanical processes that occur in the hanging wall, the footwall and in the coal seam during sub-level coal excavation, is broadly applicable and highly relevant for analysing the intensity and the level of the caving processes in sub-level coal mining, and for making realistic plans for coal excavation with workers’ safety in mind.
