Influence of socio-demographic profiles on attitudes toward sustainability and digitalization in logistics and supply chains

Opis: This study examines the impact of socio-demographic factors on attitudes towards sustainability and digitalization in logistics and supply chain management. Since a significant gap was identified in this field, study explores how company size, industry sector, and workforce diversity influence strategic planning and operational efficiency within these pivotal sectors of global commerce. The main novelty of the research is to set the roles of technological readiness and knowledge-based factors in shaping organizational responses to sustainability challenges and digital transformation opportunities. By analyzing the correlation between socio-demographic profiles and technological adoption behaviors, the paper aims to provide insights that could help organizations tailor their strategic initiatives to better align with diverse stakeholder needs, enhancing operational efficiency and promoting sustainable practices. This study seeks to fill the gaps in current research by offering a detailed exploration of how sociodemographic diversity impacts the adoption of innovative technologies and sustainability measures within the logistics and supply chain sectors. Results revealed that gender, sector, work position and company size contribute to different understanding and prioritisation of sustainability topics. Managers and team leaders are more focused towards sustainability than the rest of employees and logistics and supply chain sector prefer digitalization over sustainability.

Bioekonomija v logistiki in oskrbovalnih verigah : diplomsko delo

Opis: Študija preučuje, kako bioekonomija deluje v oskrbovalnih verigah in logistiki, s posebnim poudarkom na uporabi bioplastike. Cilj študije je določiti ključne elemente, ki vplivajo na ustvarjanje trajnostnih poslovnih modelov, z analizo besedišča in postopkov, povezanih z bioekonomijo, zlasti v kontekstu logistike. Študija se osredotoča na povezovanje glavnih konceptov, pri čemer postopoma prehaja iz splošnih pojmov o bioekonomiji na bolj specializirane teme, kot sta recikliranje in ponovna uporaba bioplastike. Raziskovalna metodologija temelji na kombinaciji informacij, zbranih iz različnih znanstvenih virov, in rezultatov lastne ankete med udeleženci. Ta kombinacija omogoča temeljito analizo, ki upošteva različne poglede in izkušnje. Študija preučuje pomen bioekonomije kot razvijajočega se družbenega in gospodarskega pojava, s poudarkom na njenem prispevku k varovanju okolja. Posebej je izpostavljena vloga bioplastike kot inovativnega materiala. Ugotovitve poudarjajo potrebo po nadaljnjem raziskovanju in tehnološkem napredku, da bi omogočili širšo uporabo bioplastike v industrijskih procesih, pa tudi izboljšanju zakonodaje, ki spodbuja okolju prijazne oskrbovalne verige in logistiko. Rezultati kažejo na možne prednosti, hkrati pa tudi na izzive, povezane z bioplastiko.

Trajnost in učinkovitost poslovnih procesov spletnih platform : primerjalna analiza treh različnih platform

Opis: Tema "Trajnostnost in učinkovitost poslovnih procesov spletnih platform: primerjalna analiza treh različnih platform" raziskuje dinamične pristope, ki jih vodilne e-trgovine, kot so eBay, Amazon in AliExpress, uporabljajo za zagotavljanje trajnosti in učinkovitosti svojih poslovnih procesov. Osredotočajoč se na integracijo naprednih tehnologij, raziskava razkriva, kako umetna inteligenca in avtomatizacija preoblikujeta načine upravljanja zalog ter izboljšujeta uporabniško izkušnjo, kar omogoča hitrejše in bolj personalizirane storitve. Poleg tehnoloških vidikov diplomsko delo poudarja pomen trajnostnih praks, ki jih izvajajo te platforme. Analiza ekoloških embalažnih materialov, strategij recikliranja in zmanjšanja emisij toplogrednih plinov prikazuje, kako te iniciative ne le zmanjšujejo ekološki odtis, ampak tudi povečujejo zaupanje in zadovoljstvo uporabnikov, kar pozitivno vpliva na prodajne rezultate. Poleg tega raziskava kaže na potrebo po prilagoditvi lokalnim tržnim razmeram, pri čemer poudarja, kako lahko platforme optimizirajo svoje ponudbe v skladu s specifičnimi potrebami potrošnikov in zakonodajnimi okviri različnih regij. Ta primerjalna analiza ne le obogati razumevanje poslovnih procesov v kontekstu e-trgovine, temveč tudi ponuja smernice za prihodnje raziskave in razvoj strategij, ki bodo omogočile nadaljnje izboljšanje trajnosti in učinkovitosti poslovanja. Na ta način diplomsko delo prispeva k razumevanju delovanja platform na trgu ter zagotavlja njihov dolgoročni uspeh v dinamičnem okolju.

The role of communication skills in the development of digital literacy competences using the "DigInGreen"

Opis: The paper deals with the field of developing communicationand digital literacy with the help of the lifelong learning model "DigInGreen" for all layers of modern society, including people with special needs. The aim of the authors is a targeted search for new solutions in the field of using digital learning and communication tools for the development of digital competences in the light of"Society 5.0". We focus on a unique way of connecting paradigms,such as: inclusive society, competences, digital, special needs, literacy and lifelong learning. We want to connect the thinking about the communicative ability, an indispensable part of which is an individual's digital literacy and point out,that the circumstances of living in a modern, but still partially exclusive society, limit the development of an individual's communicativeand digital literacy,due to a demonstrated special need or disability. We believe,that the activities we carry out,are a unique example of good practice, because they connect many scientific disciplines and fields into a modern concept of competence development without excluding or conditioning the end user. We combine the paradigms of logistics, informatics, statistics, social studies, linguistics and didactics. All the above and more represent the concept of "Society 5.0", which cannot exist as a scientific construct,if it does not consider the key aspect of one's own identification -social equality and the provision of equal opportunities.

Eco-design processes in the automotive industry

Opis: Every year approximately 70 million passenger cars are being produced and automotive industry is much bigger then just passenger cars. The impact of automotive industry on the environment is tre-mendous. From extracting raw materials through manufacturing and assembly processes, exploitation of the vehicle to the reprocessing irreversible, extensive environmental damage is done. The goal of this study is to show how implementing eco-design processes into supply chain management can re-duce the impact of automotive industry on the environment by e.g. reducing the use of the fuel, in-creasing the use of recycled materials. Focus is on evaluation of current state, environmental impacts and potential improvements for design, raw materials, manufacturing and distribution and end-of-life phase.

Sustainable synergy: unveiling the symbiotic relationship between personal lifestyles and corporate sustainable business practices

Opis: This study, conducted among 596 employees across various industries, investigates the interplay between personal sustainable lifestyle scores and corporate sustainable business practices, including energy consumption and renewable energy use. The research reveals a strong correlation between individuals’ personal sustainable lifestyles and their organisations’ sustainable business practices. Notably, employees consistently practising personal sustainable behaviours, including energy efficiency, tend to work in companies with robust sustainability initiatives and low-carbon strategies. Women, in particular, displayed higher engagement in sustainable behaviours. Age-related trends suggest younger employees prioritise corporate sustainability policies more than older counterparts, who focus more on personal sustainable behaviour. Among all studied sectors the production sector stands out for its high sustainable lifestyle and sustainable business practices, reflecting the impact of industry-specific sustainability trends like lean and green operations. On the one hand, sustainable lifestyle involves making choices and taking actions that enable rational consumption of goods and products, protecting natural resources, using renewable energy sources, and utilising low-emission transport means. These findings underscore the critical link between personal sustainability habits and organisational sustainability business practices, highlighting a significant avenue for promoting sustainability and reduced energy consumption in the workplace and at home

The perception of sustainability competences in logistics and supply chains

Opis: The European Union (EU) has adopted a huge number of guidelines and policies to promote sustainability in different sectors. The study focuses on the twin green and digital transformation, which is particularly highlighted in the context of the European Green Deal, a comprehensive strategy to tackle climate change and environmental degradation while embracing digital innovation for economic growth and societal progress. These guidelines and policies show the EU's commitment to promoting sustainability in different sectors and to achieving the objectives of climate change, environmental protection and sustainable development. One of the areas that plays an important role for the individuals as well as for the economy is logistics and supply chain management. The main research question of this study is to investigate the relationship between the basic sociodemographic characteristics and their perception of the importance of sustainability competences in logistics and supply chains in the future. The study was carried using survey questionnaire on employees in the field of logistics and supply chains in Slovenia. The results show the main statistically significant differences in these perceptions are primary based on differences in employees demographic characteristics, such as gender, age and level of education of the employees.

Presoja trajnosti poslovanja in sledenja 17 trajnostnim ciljem (UN SDG) podjetij z EMAS certifikatom : diplomsko delo

Opis: Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na spoznavanje trajnostnih ciljev ter kako in v kolikšni meri jim slovenska podjetja sledijo. Glavni cilj raziskave je razumeti, ali uresničujejo cilje trajnostnega razvoja Agende 2030, kot jih določa Organizacija združenih narodov, kako sledijo smernicam in poročajo o svojem napredku. Za analizo smo izbrali podjetja s shemo sistema EU za okoljevarstveno vodenje organizacij (angl. ECO - Management and Audit Scheme; v nadaljevanju: EMAS). Na spletnem portalu AJPES smo poiskali njihova letna poročila in jih pregledali. Iskali smo zgolj informacije, povezane s trajnostnimi cilji. Za vsako posebej smo naredili analizo, da smo ugotovili, katerim ciljem sledijo in na kak način. Na koncu poglavja z rezultati smo pripravili primerjalno analizo in grafičen prikaz rezultatov. Ugotovili smo, da ciljem 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 in 15 sledijo vsa podjetja, medtem ko jih 5., 10., 16. in 17. sledi le šest. Cilju 2 sledita dve podjetji, prvemu pa samo eno. Spoznali smo, da so nekateri cilji lažje dosegljivi, spet drugi težje, kot so pokazali izsledki raziskave. Pri sledenju trajnostnim ciljem so namreč prisotne določene ovire, kot so časovne in finančne omejitve ali primanjkovanje znanja.

Degrowth strategija za trajnostne poslovne procese in oskrbovalne verige : diplomsko delo

Opis: Diplomsko delo obravnava strategijo odrasti in analizo trajnostnih letnih poročil podjetij ter ugotavlja njihovo aktivnost na področju odrasti. Glavni cilj je analiziranje primerov dobre prakse in ugotoviti možnosti uvedbe v logistiko. Med podjetji, ki analizirajo to problematiko, smo izbrali z umetno inteligenco ChatGPT, pri oceni podjetja smo upoštevali kriterije za oceno, ali podjetje sledi odrasti,pregledali in analizirali smo tudi trajnostna letna poročila podjetij za leto 2022. Podjetja smo ocenili glede na izpolnjevanje kriterijev in rezultate zapisali v razpredelnico. Nato smo podjetja med seboj še primerjali glede na prihodek, razliko v letnem prihodku med letoma 2018 in 2022, zadovoljstvo zaposlenih in emisije toplogrednih plinov, porabo energije, vode in količino odpadkov med letoma 2018 in 2022, na koncu pa zapisali še primere dobre prakse in svoja priporočila za odrast. Ugotovili smo, da je na področju odrasti dvanajst izmed dvajsetih analiziranih podjetij visokoaktivnih , osem delno, nobeno pa ni nizko aktivno. Potrdili smo, da strategija odrasti izboljšuje ekonomsko uspešnost, zadovoljstvo zaposlenih in zmanjšuje vplive na okolje. Pri analizi letnih poročil smo naleteli na pomanjkanje javno dostopnih podatkov, kar je otežilo razvrščanje podjetij po njihovi aktivnosti glede odrasti in po primerjavi njihovega okoljskega vpliva.
