Software self-hosting : a systematic review of quantitative research☆

Opis: In an era marked by heightened concerns surrounding personal privacy and data security, software self-hosting has gained significance as a means for individuals and organizations to reclaim control over their digital assets. This systematic review aims to identify relevant research gaps in the quantitative analysis of self-hosting, primarily focusing on studies employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and regression techniques. Employing a refined version of the Systematic Mapping Process, we analyzed 49 quantitative research papers whose concepts were grouped into 12 substantive groups. The findings reveal a predominant concentration on constructs related to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), with limited exploration of self-hosting specifically, overshadowed by an emphasis on cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and privacy aspects. Our review provides a comprehensive overview of the existing literature and highlights the need for more focused research on self-hosting itself. This systematic review serves as a foundational resource for researchers and practitioners aimed at advancing the discourse on self-hosting.

A product quality impacts of a mobile software product line : an empirical study

Opis: Background: The software product lines (SPL) enable development teams to fully address a systematic reuse of shared assets to deliver a family of similar software products. Mobile applications are an obvious candidate for employing an SPL approach. This paper presents our research outcomes, based on empirical data from an industry-level development project. Two development teams were confronted with the same functionalities set to be delivered through a family of native mobile applications for Android and iOS. Methods: Empirical data was gathered before, during and after a year of full-time development. The data demonstrate the impact of a SPL approach by comparing the SPL and non-SPL multiple edition development. One family of products (Android apps) was developed using an SPL approach, while another (iOS apps), functionally the same, was developed without employing an SPL approach. The project generated a volume of raw and aggregated empirical data to support our research questions. Results: The paper reports a positive impact of an SPL approach on product quality (internal and external) and feature output per week. As data shows, it also increases the delivery of functionalities (240% in 6 more editions), while investing the same amount of effort needed for a single-edition development. As a result of system-supported separation of development and production code, developers had a high confidence in further development. On the other hand, the second team delivered less new functionalities, only two new application editions, and lower software quality than the team that manages multi-edition development by employing an SPL approach.

Search for tetraquark states ▫$X_{c c \bar{s} \bar{s}}$▫ in ▫$D_s^+ D_s^+$▫ (▫$D_s^{\ast +} D_s^{\ast +}$▫) final states at Belle

Opis: A search for double-heavy tetraquark state candidates Xccs¯s¯ decaying to Dþ s Dþ s and Dþ s Dþ s is presented for the first time using the data samples of 102 × 106 ϒð1SÞ and 158 × 106 ϒð2SÞ events, and the data samples at ffiffi ps ¼ 10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV corresponding to integrated luminosities of 89.5, 711.0, and 121.4 fb−1, respectively, accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. The invariant-mass spectra of the Dþ s Dþ s and Dþ s Dþ s are studied to search for possible resonances. No significant signals are observed, and the 90% confidence level upper limits on the product branching fractions [Bðϒð1S; 2SÞ → Xccs¯s¯ þ anythingÞ × BðXccs¯s¯ → Dþ s Dþ s ðDþ s Dþ s ÞÞ] in ϒð1S; 2SÞ inclusive decays and the product values of Born cross section and branching fraction [σðeþe− → Xccs¯s¯ þ anythingÞ × BðXccs¯s¯ → Dþ s Dþ s ðDþ s Dþ s ÞÞ] in eþe− collisions at pffiffis ¼ 10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV under different assumptions of Xccs¯s¯ masses and widths are obtained.

Ergonomska analiza delovnega mesta z Xsens sistemom za zajemanje gibanja : diplomsko delo

Opis: Oblikovanje delavnih mest je en najpomembnejših aspektov ergonomije. Človek preživi velik del svojega življenja na delavnem mestu, zato je pomembno da je to mesto oblikovano karseda njemu ugodno da se omogoči čim večja produktivnost proizvodnje, hkrati pa zmanjšamo možnost poškodb. Ta proces oblikovanja je možno optimizirati z uporabo tehnologije za zajemanja gibanja. Diplomsko delo je razdeljeno na teoretičen in praktičen del. V teoretičnem delu bo opravljena raziskava ergonomije na delavnem mestu, v praktičnem pa opravljen eksperiment z uporabo Xsens tehnologije za zajemanja gibanja.

Optimizacija postopka kalibracije jeklenih kotnikov : magistrsko delo

Opis: V magistrski nalogi smo se osredotočili na optimizacijo postopka kalibracije jeklenih kotnikov s pomočjo koordinatne merilne naprave, s čimer smo skrajšali čas kalibracije ter razbremenili kader laboratorija. Za izdelavo univerzalnega programa smo uporabili programski paket PC-DMIS. Izračunali smo merilno negotovost novega postopka, ki je bila primerljiva klasičnemu procesu umerjanja. Z uporabo univerzalnega programa lahko izvajamo kalibracije za različno velike kotnike ter tipe le–teh, prav tako pa lahko podajamo pravokotnost zunanjega kraka na notranjo referenčno ploskev ter pravokotnost notranjega kraka na zunanjo referenčno ploskev.

Vpenjalna priprava za vpenjanje ohišja črpalke

Opis: Izdelati je potrebno vpenjalno pripravo za obdelavo 25 kosov obdelovancev, za katere je na voljo STL model in podatek, da gre za odlitke. Potrebno je strojno obdelati vse funkcionalne površine kosa. V delu je predstavljeno načrtovanje vpenjalne priprave, izbira komponent, iz katerih je sestavljena, ter izvedba končne rešitve. Končno rešitev naloge predstavljata dve vpenjalni pripravi, posebej prilagojeni zahtevam za obdelavo dodeljenega kosa. Izdelani sta iz modularnih komponent, ki omogočajo prilagodljivo in cenovno ugodno sestavo.

Medijska pismenost z metodo časopisnega gledališča : magistrsko delo

Opis: V magistrskem delu obravnavamo časopisno gledališče kot inovativno metodo za poučevanje medijske pismenosti. S kvalitativno analizo intervjujev s strokovnjaki tega področja smo ugotovili, da se s časopisnim gledališčem lahko poučuje medijsko pismenost. Metoda spodbuja kritično mišljenje, analiziranje, preizpraševanje in ustvarjanje (medijskih) vsebin. Ključne značilnosti so opolnomočenje, kreativni pedagoški pristop, kulturni kontekst in humor. Rezultati tudi kažejo, da časopisno gledališče spodbuja kritično medijsko pismenost in ponuja kreativno orodje ter družbeno ozaveščanje. Priporočena so nadaljnja raziskovanja na večjem vzorcu, kakor tudi raziskovanja o dolgoročnem vplivu metode na učence in občinstvo.

Biaxial structures of localized deformations and line-like distortions in effectively 2D nematic films

Opis: We numerically studied localized elastic distortions in curved, effectively two-dimensional nematic shells. We used a mesoscopic Landau-de Gennes-type approach, in which the orientational order is theoretically considered by introducing the appropriate tensor nematic order parameter, while the three-dimensional shell shape is described by the curvature tensor. We limited our theoretical consideration to axially symmetric shapes of nematic shells. It was shown that in the surface regions of stomatocyte-class nematic shell shapes with large enough magnitudes of extrinsic (deviatoric) curvature, the direction of the in-plane orientational ordering can be mutually perpendicular above and below the narrow neck region. We demonstrate that such line-like nematic distortion configurations may run along the parallels (i.e., along the circular lines of constant latitude) located in the narrow neck regions of stomatocyte-like nematic shells. It was shown that nematic distortions are enabled by the order reconstruction mechanism. We propose that the regions of nematic shells that are strongly elastically deformed, i.e., topological defects and line-like distortions, may attract appropriately surface-decorated nanoparticles (NPs), which could potentially be useful for the controlled assembly of NPs.

Models of privacy and disclosure on social networking sites: a systematic literature review

Opis: Social networking sites (SNSs) are used widely, raising new issues in terms of privacy and disclosure. Although users are often concerned about their privacy, they often publish information on social networking sites willingly. Due to the growing number of users of social networking sites, substantial research has been conducted in recent years. In this paper, we conducted a systematic review of papers that included structural equations models (SEM), or other statistical models with privacy and disclosure constructs. A total of 98 such papers were found and included in the analysis. In this paper, we evaluated the presentation of results of the models containing privacy and disclosure constructs. We carried out an analysis of which background theories are used in such studies and have also found that the studies have not been carried out worldwide. Extending the research to other countries could help with better user awareness of the privacy and self-disclosure of users on SNSs.

Opazovalnik temperature spoja močnostnega modula : magistrsko delo

Opis: Namen magistrskega dela je zagotoviti bolj natančno oceno temperature spoja MOSFET-tranzistorja v primerjavi z obstoječim pristopom, kar bo omogočilo izboljšanje zmogljivosti motorskega krmilnika. Ta temperatura predstavlja ključno, vendar nedostopno stanje, ki ga ni mogoče neposredno izmeriti. Zato smo razvili predikcijski algoritem, imenovan opazovalnik, ki na podlagi meritev vhodov oziroma faznega toka in temperature na dostopni točki sistema ocenjuje temperaturo spoja MOSFET-tranzistorja. V ta namen smo načrtali termalni model krmilnika, predstavljen kot ekvivalentno električno vezje, in ga nato validirali z uporabo termalnih simulacij v časovni domeni in meritvami.
