DIGITALNI DVOJČEK LINIJE S12 V PODJETJU BSH

Opis: V magistrskem delu je predstavljen digitalni dvojček linije S12 v podjetju BSH Nazarje. Zaključno delo zajema predstavitev linije in programske opreme Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. Prikazano je izdelovanje digitalnega dvojčka in nastavljanje parametrov za pravilno delovanje. Sledi analiza, v kateri smo preizkusili različne scenarije, kot so spreminjanje števila delavcev in parametrov ter postavitev elementov, ki bi lahko pripomogli k optimizaciji proizvodnje linije. Na koncu so predstavljene ugotovitve in izboljšave, načrtovana je tudi paletizacija s pomočjo robotske roke in avtomatiziranega transporta. S pomočjo digitalnega dvojčka smo uspešno dosegli cilj magistrske naloge in izboljšali proizvodni sistem.

Razvoj in implementacija električnih sistemov za električni dirkalnik Formula Student

Opis: Zaradi potrebe po elektrifikaciji dirkalnikov na študentskih tekmovanjih Formula Student se je tudi ekipa iz Univerze v Mariboru odločila za razvoj prvega električnega dirkalnika. V okviru te magistrske naloge je bil razvit in implementiran električni sistem dirkalnika GPE24. Pri delu smo se osredotočili na električni pogonski sistem, visokonapetostni sistem, nizkonapetostni sistem, nizkonapetostni akumulator in električno stopalko za plin. Pripravljene so bile arhitekture posameznih sistemov, električne sheme, risbe kabelskih snopov, simulacija pospeševanja vozila, preračuni komponent in 3D modeli posameznih podsistemov. Na koncu so bila izvedena tudi testiranja ustreznosti nizkonapetostnega akumulatorja in električne stopalke za plin.

A short-range quasi-distributed strain and temperature sensing system utilizing a standard telecom laser diode

Opis: This article presents a short-range fiber-optic quasi-distributed sensing device suitable for strain and temperature measurement. The sensing assembly consists of an fs laser inscribed reference mirror and a sensing array of equidistantly positioned mirrors. Utilization of the reference mirror and proper sensor geometry selection provides the possibility for a high-resolution spectral interrogation of the sensing array while relying on an ordinary, cost-effective distributed feedback (DFB) telecom laser diode. Beside the telecom DFB diode, the entire interrogation system includes only an additional detector, optical coupler, analog interface and a microcontroller. Measurement resolution better than 1 µε was demonstrated experimentally at a sampling rate exceeding 65 samples per second, while utilizing a sensing device with a typical length of 50 mm and spatial resolution of approximately 2 mm. To demonstrate the application potential of the proposed measuring device, a few different packages and sensor configurations were demonstrated and tested, including a system for tactile sensing applications and a short-range quasi-distributed temperature measurement probe.

Modeling and control of a three-phase interleaved buck converter as a battery charger

Opis: In this paper, a control design methodology is proposed for the implementation of a three-phase interleaved buck converter as a battery charger. The control strategy consists of a multiple-loop controller in cascade configuration to implement the constant-current constant-voltage (CC-CV) protocol for the fast charging of an electric vehicle (EV) battery. To compensate for the inherent asymmetric distribution of the current between the phases, the first control loop (inner loop) is dedicated to implement the democratic current sharing technique, while the two outer loops constitute a seamless controller, which allows a soft transition from CC mode to CV mode when charging the battery. The controllers are designed using the root locus method and conventional rules for cascade controllers. The design methodology is validated and tested by numerical simulations of the switched model system implemented in PSIM software. The obtained results put in evidence a robust performance in front of input voltage and load variations, failure conditions and other parametric uncertainties. A 1.5 kW experimental prototype is implemented to charge a battery of 48 V from a 100 V DC input voltage and to validate the theoretical predictions and the simulation results. The proposal opens the way for subsequent research in ultrafast charging of batteries.

Ultrafast multicellular calcium imaging of calcium spikes in mouse beta cells in tissue slices

Opis: Background: The crucial steps in beta cell stimulus-secretion coupling upon stimulation with glucose are oscillatory changes in metabolism, membrane potential, intracellular calcium concentration, and exocytosis. The changes in membrane potential consist of bursts of spikes, with silent phases between them being dominated by membrane repolarization and absence of spikes. Assessing intra- and intercellular coupling at the multicellular level is possible with ever-increasing detail, but our current ability to simultaneously resolve spikes from many beta cells remains limited to double-impalement electrophysiological recordings. Methods: Since multicellular calcium imaging of spikes would enable a better understanding of coupling between changes in membrane potential and calcium concentration in beta cell collectives, we set out to design an appropriate methodological approach. Results: Combining the acute tissue slice method with ultrafast calcium imaging, we were able to resolve and quantify individual spikes within bursts at a temporal resolution of >150 Hz over prolonged periods, as well as describe their glucose-dependent properties. In addition, by simultaneous patch-clamp recordings we were able to show that calcium spikes closely follow membrane potential changes. Both bursts and spikes coordinate across islets in the form of intercellular waves, with bursts typically displaying global and spikes more local patterns. Conclusions: This method and the associated findings provide additional insight into the complex signaling within beta cell networks. Once extended to tissue from diabetic animals and human donors, this approach could help us better understand the mechanistic basis of diabetes and find new molecular targets.

Reorganizacija proizvodnega sistema v podjetju Chipolo d.o.o.

Opis: V magistrskem delu smo obravnavali proces reorganizacije proizvodnega sistema v podjetju Chipolo d.o.o. Cilj zaključne naloge je bil uspešno načrtovanje in izvedba reorganizacije in širitve proizvodnega sistema s posebnim poudarkom na izboljšanju gospodarjenja z materialom in optimizacije toka materiala in informacij v proizvodnem sistemu. Najprej smo se osredotočili na teoretične osnove organizacije proizvodnega sistema in priprave načrta razmestitve elementov. V sklopu tega smo obravnavali tudi nekatere metode vitke proizvodnje in se posvetili toku materiala in informacij skozi proizvodni sistem. Pregledali smo tudi teoretične osnove upravljanja z zalogami. V empiričnem delu smo se posvetili analizi obstoječega stanja proizvodnega sistema in identifikaciji problemov znotraj tega sistema, nato pa nadaljevali z načrtovanjem reorganizacije proizvodnega sistema. V sklopu reorganizacije in širitve proizvodnje podjetja Chipolo d.o.o. smo največ časa namenili pripravi načrta razmestitve elementov oziroma layouta. Osredotočili smo se tudi na optimizacijo določenih procesov znotraj proizvodnega sistema. Z uspešno izvedbo preureditve proizvodnega sistema, smo podjetju Chipolo omogočili boljši pregled nad proizvodnimi procesi, zagotovili več prostora za izvajanje teh procesov in optimizirali tok materiala skozi sistem, kar je posledično vodilo do večje učinkovitosti.

Dejavniki tveganja za travmatsko možgansko krvavitev

Opis: Travmatska poškodba možganov (TPM) in intrakranialna krvavitev (TMK) zaradi poškodbe glave še vedno predstavljata glavni vir invalidnosti in lahko vodita v telesne, kognitivne in psihološke motnje ter trajno invalidnost. Incidenca se razlikuje, najvišja je pri starejših ljudeh (1682 na 100.000 ljudi) in najnižja pri mladih odraslih (1010 na 100.000 ljudi). Ocenjuje se, da se pri 13 do 35 % pacientov po poškodbi glave razvije intrakranialna krvavitev. Naš cilj je bil najti različne dejavnike tveganja za intrakranialno krvavitev pri pacientih s poškodbo glave.

Posledice in vpliv pandemije COVIDA-19 na duševno zdravje otrok in mladostnikov

Opis: Uvod: Pandemija COVID-19 je prinesla nove izzive in spremenila način življenja mnogih ljudi po svetu. Države se niso zavedale, kako hitro se lahko bolezen razširi in kakšne posledice lahko prinese. Prizadela je ljudi vseh starosti, vključno z otroki in mladostniki, ki so to pandemijo doživljali na drugačen način kot njihovi starši. Metode: Uporabili smo opisno metodo pregleda literature. Literaturo smo iskali v petih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library in ScienceDirect. Pri poteku iskanja literature smo upoštevali smernice PRISMA. Ustrezne rezultate smo nato razporedili glede na hierarhijo dokazov in jih prikazali s pomočjo evalvacijske in sintezne tabele. Rezultati: V končno analizo smo vključili 11 člankov. V vseh člankih so opisovali negativen vpliv socialne izolacije na mentalno zdravje otrok in mladostnikov po vsem svetu. Najbolj na udaru so bili otroci in mladostniki z že pridruženimi boleznimi ali pa s šibkimi odnosi v družini. Razprava in zaključek: Pandemija COVID-19 je znatno negativno vplivala na dobrobitje otrok in mladostnikov. Slednji so bili izpostavljeni tako nevarnosti okužbe kot nevarnostmi zlorabe v nefunkcionalnih družinah. Za določitev specifičnih posledic bi bilo potrebnih več raziskav.

Computational modeling of natural convection in nanofluid-saturated porous media: an investigation into heat transfer phenomena : Janja Kramer Stajnko ... [et al.]

Opis: A numerical study was carried out to analyze the phenomenon of natural convection in a porous medium saturated with nanofluid. In the study, the boundary element method was used for computational modeling. The fluid flow through a porous matrix is described using the Darcy– Brinkman–Forchheimer momentum equation. In addition, a mathematical model for nanofluids was used, which follows a single-phase approach and assumes that the nanoparticles within a fluid can be treated as an independent fluid with effective properties. A combination of single- and sub-domain boundary element methods was used to solve the relevant set of partial differential equations. The method was originally developed for pure flow scenarios, but also proves to be effective in the context of fluid flow through porous media. The results are calculated for the case of two- and three-dimensional square cavities. In addition to various values of dimensionless control parameters, including the porous Rayleigh number (Rap), Darcy number (Da), porosity (ϕ) and nanoparticle volume fractions (φ), the effects of the inclination angle of the cavity on the overall heat transfer (expressed by the Nusselt number (Nu)) and fluid flow characteristics were investigated. The results indicate a pronounced dependence of the overall heat transfer on the introduction of nanoparticles and inclination angle. The heat transfer in a two-dimensional cavity is increased for higher values of Darcy number in the conduction flow regime, while it is suppressed for lower values of Darcy number in the Darcy flow regime. In the case of a three-dimensional cavity, increasing the volume fraction of nanoparticles leads to a decrease in heat transfer, and furthermore, increasing the inclination angle of the cavity considerably weakens the buoyancy flow

Comparison of different modulation control strategies for wireless power transfer system

Opis: When designing a wireless power transfer system, overall system efficiency is one of the key parameters. The efficiency depends on several parameters, which also includes control modulation, used for excitation of the transmitter coil. However, how much the modulation technique impacts the efficiency is studied rarely. In this paper, we compare the three most popular control modulation techniques for transmitter voltage of a wireless power transfer system. First, the theory behind the methods is presented by highlighting the difference between them and their implementation. The methods are implemented, together with a linear PI control scheme, to evaluate the efficiency and performance of each of the methods. Finally, the practical tests were performed, under different output power levels, in order to evaluate the practical performance of each modulation strategy further
