1. Sustainable transportation perspective: how our preferences for zero-emission vehicles change through time?Matevž Obrecht, Gözde Yanginlar, Dorota Klimecka-Tatar, Matjaž Knez, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The Slovenian automobile market has gained great momentum in the past decade. However, the demand contractions in the supply chain created a huge crisis in the automobile industry in Slovenia. The automotive industry's new competitive dynamics focus on green logistics, sustainability, and purchase decisions. The study aims to comparatively analyze the factors affecting consumers' automobile purchasing decisions from a sustainable transportation perspective. In the survey, we included 1502 participants to identify the most important parameters of consumer behaviour related to purchasing alternative fuel vehicles. In the regression analysis results in the first analysis, non-financial factors sub-dimensions such as the body shape and fuel type, vehicle size, and style/appearance/colour had a positive effect on purchasing decisions of zero-emission cars. The second analysis was performed 5 years after the first analysis. Moreover, the findings provide insights that non-financial factors sub-dimensions such as entertainment system, vehicle size, and vehicle capacity and financial factors sub-dimensions between the insurance group for the vehicle, finance deals, value for money, annual road tax had a positive effect on purchasing decisions of zero-emission vehicles in the second analysis. Results show that the most relevant factor for purchasing zero-emission vehicles is total vehicle price and that the segment of potential alternative fuel vehicle consumers is much higher than it has been anticipated. This study provides an overview of the current understanding of individuals' vehicle purchasing decisions. 2. Development and improvement of a production company (and their product) based on the value stream mapping of business processesDorota Klimecka-Tatar, Matevž Obrecht, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Value stream mapping is one of the basic tools used in the processes improvement or design – in accordance with the Lean concept. This paper presents a model of designing production processes and introducing new products to the market based on the analysis of the value streams flow in the production process. Particular attention was paid to the importance of input data necessary to plan a properly functioning production process, which results in a high-value product (from the customer’s point of view). In the paper also the list of all the most important tools supporting all stages of designing new production processes or improving existing processes has been presented. Also the advantages of big pictures analysis using was highlighted. In this case value stream mapping and big picture analysis were oriented on quality in the product development process and contribute to: creating value (based on customer requirements) while maintaining timely deliveries and constant costs (Value Stream Mapping), sustainable use of tangible and intangible resources (removing waste at the design stage). However, from the company point of view, and particular in the cost level, the product can gain value because a lower input is required for its production. After improvement, the process lead time has been shortened in an area where value was not added, but the consequence of implementing the change is an increase in the production volume while maintaining the process transition time – therefore, unit costs of production will change. 3. Eco-design processes in the automotive industryEwelina Staniszewska, Dorota Klimecka-Tatar, Matevž Obrecht, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Every year approximately 70 million passenger cars are being produced and automotive industry is much bigger then just passenger cars. The impact of automotive industry on the environment is tre-mendous. From extracting raw materials through manufacturing and assembly processes, exploitation of the vehicle to the reprocessing irreversible, extensive environmental damage is done. The goal of this study is to show how implementing eco-design processes into supply chain management can re-duce the impact of automotive industry on the environment by e.g. reducing the use of the fuel, in-creasing the use of recycled materials. Focus is on evaluation of current state, environmental impacts and potential improvements for design, raw materials, manufacturing and distribution and end-of-life phase. 4. Sustainable developement in logistic : a strategy for management in terms of green transportDorota Klimecka-Tatar, Manuela Ingaldi, Matevž Obrecht, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Supply chain management is one of the most important elements of sustainable development. And due to the fact that the world market is driven by supply and demand, and the determinant of access to products is regional and international logistics, this paper focuses on the possibilities of implementing a green transport strategy in the context of sustainable development in logistic enterprises. This paper presents the results of the SWOT anal-ysis pointing out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats of green vehicles market for the transport enterprises. It was noticed that the situation on the green vehicles market for the transport enterprises is charac-terized by the advantage of strengths and these strengths should be used to maximize the use of green vehicles. It emphasized that subsidies for green vehicles would allow to invest in a modern fleet, new solutions (e.g. own charging stations) can have an impact on the greater energy efficiency (self-sufficiency), increase of social aware-ness would force enterprises to take appropriate actions in the field of environmental protection and develop-ment of publictransport based on green vehicles. 5. Logistics aspect of organizational culture and normative commitment in electric energy supply chainSebastjan Lazar, Vojko Potočan, Sonja Mlaker Kač, Gözde Yanginlar, Dorota Klimecka-Tatar, Matevž Obrecht, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Companies are increasingly aware that employees are an important factor in success, so they pay more and more attention to them. Because of that, organizational culture and normative commitment are also included as ex-tremely important factors. The research includes a systematic and comprehensive review of the literature and at the same time obtaining and analysing data from practice through a survey. The research focuses on employees from the logistics departments in the supply chain of electronic component production and supply. Group of com-panies across Europe were included in the survey (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Re-public, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine). The research demonstrates the realization that the types of classification of organizational culture have different effects on direct and indirect normative commitment. Gender differences were also found. The re-search-based on the calculated average mean values shows the classifications of organizational culture and nor-mative commitment. The latter follows the organizational culture with minor deviations. The order of classifica-tion of organizational culture follows the current economic situation, where according to the studied criteria, the first is a culture of the market. The research shows that men’s rate of normative commitment is better than wom-en's, while in organizational culture the situation is exactly the opposite. One of the most significant findings is based on the Pearson correlation coefficient with the SPSS program was found that, according to the classifica-tion, Hierarchy culture has a positive effect on indirect normative commitment. 6. Sustainability orientation and focus in logistics and supply chainsSebastjan Lazar, Dorota Klimecka-Tatar, Matevž Obrecht, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Sustainable development, logistics, and supply chain are being combined into three increasingly connected and topical global research areas. Therefore, this paper's novelty identifies and defines the priorities of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and sustainable development dimensions in supply-chain- and logistics-management-related studies in the last decade. Knowing logistics and supply chain sustainability focus and orientation is valuable information for researchers and managers to adapt and mitigate their business logistics according to the forecasted trends. The paper provides a systematic and comprehensive review of the literature and is based on 116 scientific papers published between 2010 and 2020 in 73 international journals in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The study defines focus with integrating environmental, social, and economic sustainability for logistics- and supply-chain-related studies. It emphasizes primary and secondary links of investigated studies with 17 United Nations sustainable development goals. The bibliometric analysis also examined keyword relations. One of the main contributions is that economic sustainability was identified as the most represented one-dimensional sustainability focus. It was revealed that supply chain studies integrated all three sustainability dimensions more frequently (50.60%) than logistics studies, which were equally related to studying two- or three-dimensions of sustainability (39.39%). The most significant findings are also that studies were identified to be oriented primarily towards "responsible consumption and production", "industry, innovation, and infrastructure" and "affordable and clean energy" and secondary especially on "sustainable cities and communities".
