Elektromagnetna kompatibilnost v Nuklearni elektrarni Krško : diplomsko delo

Opis: Diplomsko delo obravnava problematiko elektromagnetne kompatibilnosti (EMC) in standarde za njeno zagotavljanje v jedrskih elektrarnah. Na začetku so opisani ključni pojmi za razumevanje EMC in razlikovanje med principi obvladovanja motenj (dovzetnost oziroma imunost in oddajanje motenj). V nadaljevanju so navedeni in opisani standardi, ki se nanašajo na sevanje motenj in imunost naprav na motnje. Sledi predstavitev programa EMC v Nuklearni elektrarni Krško in testa imunosti, ki je bil izveden v sklopu programa.

Participation in youth sports influences sarcopenia parameters in older adults

Opis: Background: The degree of deterioration in sarcopenia parameters may be affected by a person’s level of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior (SB). Our study focused on examining the PA and SB of active older adults including those with and without history of sports in youth. Methods: Forty-four participants (20 men and 24 women, mean age of total sample 76.1 ± 5.2 years) were included in analysis of PA, SB habits and sarcopenia parameters, determined by skeletal muscle index, hand-grip strength, gait speed, Timed Up and Go tests (TUG). PA and SB were recorded with accelerometers. Our primary aim was to compare participants with (AH) or without a sport history in youth (NAH), in their sarcopenia parameters and PA and SB habits. Results: When divided participants in two groups (AH and NAH) and adjusting for age, we have detected the differences for skeletal muscle index (p = 0.007) and hand-grip strength (p = 0.004) in favor of participants who were engaged in sports in youth. We did not find any differences in PA and SB habits between the AH and NAH groups. After adjusting for age, participants with a higher number of daily steps, longer moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) bouts, a higher number of MVPA bouts in a day and higher overall MVPA engagement achieved better results in hand-grip strength and TUG. Participants with lower SB had better TUG and gait speed results. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that engaging in sports activities in youth can make a difference with sarcopenia parameters. Although we found no differences in PA and SB habits between participants with AH and NAH, participants with an athlete history performed better results in sarcopenia parameters.

Sensors and artificial intelligence methods and algorithms for human - computer intelligent interaction: a systematic mapping study

Opis: To equip computers with human communication skills and to enable natural interaction between the computer and a human, intelligent solutions are required based on artificial intelligence (AI) methods, algorithms, and sensor technology. This study aimed at identifying and analyzing the state-of-the-art AI methods and algorithms and sensors technology in existing human–computer intelligent interaction (HCII) research to explore trends in HCII research, categorize existing evidence, and identify potential directions for future research. We conduct a systematic mapping study of the HCII body of research. Four hundred fifty-four studies published in various journals and conferences between 2010 and 2021 were identified and analyzed. Studies in the HCII and IUI fields have primarily been focused on intelligent recognition of emotion, gestures, and facial expressions using sensors technology, such as the camera, EEG, Kinect, wearable sensors, eye tracker, gyroscope, and others. Researchers most often apply deep-learning and instance-based AI methods and algorithms. The support sector machine (SVM) is the most widely used algorithm for various kinds of recognition, primarily an emotion, facial expression, and gesture. The convolutional neural network (CNN) is the often-used deep-learning algorithm for emotion recognition, facial recognition, and gesture recognition solutions.

Effect of topological optimisation on the kinetic properties of the kinematic chain : Elektronski vir

Opis: The paper addresses the importance of topology and shape optimisation on improving the performance of a device operating in a mine industry. The process of increasing the stiffness and the value of the first eigenfrequency of the load-carrying structure will be demonstrated. In order to satisfy both objectives simultaneously, two initial optimisation domain models were introduced. The first was the most commonly used optimisation model with full material, while the second was a model with an initial gyroid lattice structure in the optimisation domain. The results obtained by the optimisation of the load-carrying structure were used to analyse the effect of stiffness and eigenfrequency on the four-bar mechanism path of the coupler point and the reduction of the value of the joint forces of the most loaded links. 24 refs.

Discrete time model for process meta language with fictitious-clock

Opis: Industries like telecommunications, medical, automotive, military, avionics, and aerospace use complex real-time systems. Specification and Description Language (SDL) is one of the leading domain specific languages that is formally defined by international standards and well established in describing such systems. To check system properties abstracted model of the system is prepared in selected modeling language. We use Spin (Simple Promela Interpreter) model checker that is one of the leading tools for verification of complex concurrent and reactive systems. This paper focuses on modeling the SDL timer construct. It is one of the SDL constructs that is not easily modeled with Promela, but is present in many SDL systems. After an overview of the related work we propose a new Discrete Time Model for Promela (DTMP) that is seamlessly integrated in our framework for modeling SDL systems and can be used with the mainstream version of the Spin tool. To the best of our knowledge, this is not possible with the existing solutions. We describe how DTMP can be used to model SDL systems that use timers. Experimental results demonstrate its applicability to non-SDL systems with Fischer’s mutual exclusion protocol and the Parallel Acknowledgment with Retransmission that were used in prior studies. We compare state-space requirements with one of the existing solutions DT Promela and DT Spin. With that, virtues and shortcomings of this high-level solution are exposed. We have shown that DTMP is effective when an extensive range of timer expiration values are used, which is usually the case in real-life SDL systems.

Testiranje dostopnosti spletnih strani z avtomatskim orodjem za testiranje in orodjem za programsko testiranje : magistrsko delo

Opis: Osebe z ovirami predstavljajo 16 % celotnega prebivalstva, oviranost pa jim povzroča otežen dostop in uporabo spletnih vsebin. Razvijalci morajo poskrbeti, da so te vsebine dostopne komurkoli ne glede na oviranost. Težava nastopi, ko razvijalci ne poznajo pristopov testiranja dostopnosti, WCAG smernic in primernega orodja, zato so v magistrskem delu primerjana testiranja dostopnosti z avtomatskima orodjema Lighthouse in WAVE, programskim Playwright in AI orodjem AccessiBe. Opravljen je pregled literature, pridobljeni so rezultati testiranja dostopnosti spletne strani, ti rezultati pa so med seboj tudi primerjani. Predstavljen je pristop, ki ga lahko razvijalci uporabijo za hitrejšo pripravo programskega testiranja. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da je za učinkovitejše testiranje dostopnosti priporočena uporaba dveh ali več pristopov. Prav tako programsko in AI orodje testira več elementov in ima v primerjavi z avtomatskima orodjema manj napačnih rezultatov.

Analysis of synchronous generators’ local mode eigenvalues in modern power systems

Opis: New energy sources, storage facilities, power electronics devices, advanced and complex control concepts, economic operating doctrines, and cost-optimized construction and production of machines and equipment in power systems adversely affect small-signal stability associated with local oscillations. The objective of the article is to analyze local oscillations and the causes that affect them in order to reduce their negative impact. There are no recognized analyses of the oscillations of modern operating synchronous generators exposed to new conditions in power systems. The basic idea is to perform a numerical analysis of local oscillations of a large number of synchronous generators in the power system. The paper represents the local mode data obtained from a systematic analysis of synchronous generators in the Slovenian power system. Analyzed were 74 synchronous generators of the Slovenian power system, plus many additional synchronous generators for which data were accessible in references. The mathematical models convenient for the study of local oscillations are described first in the paper. Next, the influences of transmission lines, size of the synchronous generators, operating conditions, and control systems were investigated. The paper’s merit is the applicable rules that have been defined to help power plant operators avoid stability-problematic situations. Consequently, boundaries were estimated of the eigenvalues of local modes. Finally, experiments were performed with a laboratory-size synchronous generator to assess the regularity of the numerically obtained conclusions. The obtained results enable the prediction of local oscillations’ frequencies and dampings and will be useful in PSS planning.

Slovenska turistična politika od 1992 do 2018 : magistrsko delo

Opis: Tranzicija iz socialističnega v kapitalistično okolje vpliva na številne vidike družbe, vključno s turistično politiko. Na primeru turistične politike se odražajo spremembe v ekonomskem sistemu, družbeni strukturi in političnem okolju. Socializem je pogosto pomenil močno centralizirano upravljanje, medtem ko kapitalizem prinaša večjo vlogo tržnih sil. V turistični politiki to lahko pomeni prehod od centralnega planiranja do večje vključenosti zasebnega sektorja. V obdobju med letoma 1992 in 2018 se je turistična politika Slovenije oblikovala pod vplivom številnih dejavnikov. Deležniki v procesu oblikovanja politik so zajemali vladne organizacije, lokalne skupnosti, podjetnike, nevladne organizacije in druge. Pomembno je razumeti, kako so se njihova stališča odražala v konkretnih politikah. Na turistično industrijo so politični akterji vplivali preko stališč, ki so se odražala v odločitvah glede turistične politike. Analiza političnih strank preko programov in koalicijskih sporazumov omogoča vpogled v to, kako so različni politični dejavniki oblikovali turistično politiko v določenem obdobju. Vprašanja, ki so zaznamovala razvoj turistične politike, so se nanašala na trajnostni razvoj, promocijo turizma, infrastrukturne naložbe, varstvo okolja, upravljanje z naravnimi viri in drugo. Delo zato zajema pregled celotne turistične politike, ki presega (zgolj) zakonodajni vidik. V delu se obravnava tranzicijo turistične politike iz socialistične v kapitalistično ter oblikovanje le-te v obdobju med letoma 1992 in 2018, pri čemer se osredotoča na deležnike, politične akterje, stališča, vključenost političnih strank in ključna vprašanja.

Noise evaluation of S-polymer gears

Opis: In this study, an acoustic behaviour of S-polymer gears made of the material combination POM/PA66 was investigated and compared to the standardised involute gears (E-gears). Basic evaluating characteristics included noise during operation, which is of particular significance when noise reduction is expected. The measured signals were analysed in time and frequency domains and the levels of acoustic activity were compared. The experimental results have shown that the sound pressure level of both E- and S-polymer gears are proportional to the torque. However, the comprehensive noise evaluation has shown some advantages of S-polymer gears if compared to the E-polymer gears. In that respect, S-polymer gears were found more appropriate for noise reduction of gear drive systems in the case of normal loading and typical drive speed. Future studies in the operating behaviour of S-polymer gears could also cover noise evaluation using new methods of sound signal analysis at different temperatures of gears.

Solidification of gelatine hydrogels by using a cryoplatform and its validation through CFD approaches

Opis: In this work, we developed a numerical approach based on an experimental platform to determine the working conditions on a cryoplatform and to predict and evaluate the cryogenic printing of hydrogels. Although hydrogels have good biocompatibility, their material properties make it difficult to print them with high precision and shape fidelity. To overcome these problems, a cryogenic cooling platform was introduced to accelerate the physical stabilisation of each deposited layer during the printing process. By precisely controlling solidification (crystallisation), each printed material can withstand its own weight to maintain shape fidelity, and the porosity of the scaffolds can also be controlled more selectively. The thermophysical properties of gelatine hydrogels were investigated to gain a better understanding of the phase change upon freezing. The corresponding material properties and experimental observations of gelatine solidification served as the basis for developing a computational fluid model (CFD) to mimic the solidification of gelatine hydrogels using a cryoplatform at different process conditions and extruder speeds. The goal was to develop a tool simple enough to predict acceptable process conditions for printing gelatine hydrogels using a cryoplatform.
