Mathematical model for the selection of processing parameters in selective laser sintering of polymer products

Opis: Additive manufacturing (AM) is increasingly applied in the development projects from the initial idea to the finished product. The reasons are multiple, but what should be emphasised is the possibility of relatively rapid manufacturing of the products of complicated geometry based on the computer 3D model of the product. There are numerous limitations primarily in the number of available materials and their properties, which may be quite different from the properties of the material of the finished product. Therefore, it is necessary to know the properties of the product materials. In AM procedures the mechanical properties of materials are affected by the manufacturing procedure and the production parameters. During SLS procedures it is possible to adjust various manufacturing parameters which are used to influence the improvement of various mechanical and other properties of the products. The paper sets a new mathematical model to determine the influence of individual manufacturing parameters on the polymer product made by selective laser sintering. Old mathematical model is checked by statistical method with central composite plan and it is established that old mathematical model must be expanded with new parameter beam overlay ratio. Verification of new mathematical model and optimization of the processing parameters are made on SLS machine.

Izobraževanje zaposlenih za gospodarjenje z odpadki v podjetju xx

Opis: V diplomskem delu smo preverjali, kako je v podjetju XX urejeno gospodarjenje z odpadki in na kakšen način se zaposleni informirajo o pravilnem ravnanju z njimi. V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge se seznanimo z izobraževanjem kadrov in osnovami odpadkov. Med drugim se seznanimo tudi z zakonodajo na področju odpadkov in spoznamo, da imamo poleg moralne obveznosti do okolja tudi zakonske obveznosti. V nadaljevanju preverimo obstoječe stanje ravnanja z odpadki v podjetju ter pregledamo ustreznost predpisov in delovnih navodil podjetja na tem področju, saj so le-ta pomembna podlaga in orodje za izobraževanje kadrov. V raziskovalnem delu ugotavljamo mnenje zaposlenih o urejenosti ravnanja z odpadki v podjetju, kje so do sedaj pridobili največ informacij o ravnanju z odpadki in na kakšen način bi želeli te informacije znotraj podjetja pridobivati v prihodnje. V zaključku naloge povzamemo ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli v raziskavi, in sicer da so zaposleni mnenja, da je urejenost ravnanja z odpadki v podjetju dobra in da si zaposleni želijo dodatnega izobraževanja o ravnanju z odpadki. Med drugim s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika ugotovimo tudi, kakšen način izobraževanja bi bil zanje najbolj primeren in kje znotraj podjetja bi po njihovem mnenju moralo biti mesto objave delovnih navodil o ravnanju z odpadki.

A fast method to predict the cooling time of wax for investment casting procedure

Opis: The investment casting of metal parts is a rapid tooling/manufacturing method for small series production, where wax pattern is produced separately and then extracted from the mould. The wax parts commonly used as patterns are usually obtained after wax casting silicone rubber moulds. The time needed for the wax to solidify is critical and difficult to predict. This article presents an experimental method for cooling-time determination using a simplified applicable solution (needed in hash industrial environment and short deadlines) based on real-life parts experience.

Development of a 3D printer for thermoplastic modelling

Opis: Additive technologies are entering the market in all price segments and the development of new machines and materials is rapidly growing. Machines under 2000 EUR are more and more interesting for home and educational use. This paper presents the development of a 3D printer that shapes the parts layer by layer by depositing the material on a predefined position. The development is presented from the engineering point of view. The construction steps, the control and the actuator solutions are presented. The ABS plastic was analysed for its material properties. The 3D printer evolved from a prototype to the pre-production phase.
