Opis: Monografija “Izzivi prenosa vodenja na naslednjo generacijo v družinskem podjetju” združuje sedem poglavij, ki z enotnim znanstvenim okvirjem – od kritičnega pregleda literature in analize stanja do empiričnih raziskav in praktičnih pobud – raziskujejo ključne vidike nasledstva v podjetju Dines d. o. o. V prvem poglavju obravnava digitalno podporo znanju, sledijo tematike kariernega načrtovanja, modela 3K za razvoj vodij, digitalne preobrazbe nabavnih procesov, uporabe naprednih tehnologij pri prenosu lastništva, pravnih vidikov družinske ustave ter konceptualne zasnove CRM-sistema za B2B-prodajo. Cilj monografije je z multiperspektivnimi rešitvami – od digitalnih orodij in kariernih strategij do pravnih mehanizmov in informacijskih sistemov – vzpostaviti celosten “nasledstvo 4.0” okvir, ki povezuje teorijo in prakso ter podpira trajnostni razvoj, konkurenčnost in dolgoročno kontinuiteto slovenskih družinskih podjetij.

Opis: The 44th International Scientific Conference on the Development of Organisational Science was focused on developing and advancing knowledge in the organisational sciences, with a focus on the contemporary challenges and opportunities of our time. On the one hand, it is humans who have woven the knowledge of organisations and will continue to enrich the knowledge of organisations in the future. On the other hand, we need to take into account the situational factors and the wider environment that are intrinsic to understanding organisations. The title of this year's conference is: Human being, Artificial Intelligence and the Organisation. The society we live in today is going through a period of great change in various areas of our lives. Although our pace sometimes stops, the forces of the environment do not. The pace of change often no longer surprises us. But the pillars of our action, the achievements of human society, are something of which we can be justly proud. Artificial intelligence is one of the forces that has entered our everyday lives in many places in recent times. Where are the opportunities and where are the dangers of artificial intelligence, where is human intelligence still a significant step ahead of artificial intelligence?

Government-funded sustainable development and professionalisation of NGOs

Opis: This paper addresses the first financial initiative of the Slovenian government for the professionalisation and development of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to promote sustainability in the third sector. The measure was the result of the Non-Governmental Organisations Act, adopted in 2018, and was followed by the Development strategy of non-governmental organisations and volunteering until 2023 (DSNGOV). The state’s contribution to an increased level of professionalisation was welcomed by NGOs because, compared to other EU28 states, which have an average employment rate of 4.18%, Slovenia is far behind, with only 0.82% of its active working population being employed in the NGO sector. In May 2018, the Ministry of Public Administration released invitations to fund projects for the development and professionalisation of NGOs and voluntary service, providing grants for 100 NGO jobs. The final project results were compiled in March 2020, and the findings were evaluated in 29 survey reports in April 2020. The research focused on the occupations for which employees were sought, legal forms of the applicant NGOs and recruitment methods. The results demonstrate that the state measure was successful, as 69% of the funded jobs were sustained. However, most of the retained jobs were filled by those who were previously employed in the NGO sector (84.6%), so the employment rate has barely risen.

Analiza značilnosti kratkih oskrbnih verig lokalno pridelane hrane v Sloveniji

Opis: Diplomsko delo obravnava analizo značilnosti kratkih oskrbnih verig lokalno pridelane hrane v Sloveniji. Analiza se osredotoča predvsem na alternativne prehranske mreže (APM), ki nastopajo kot ključni akterji v kratkih oskrbnih verigah. Naloga preučuje značilnosti, izzive in priložnosti kratkih oskrbnih verig ter predlaga izboljšave za povečanje njihove učinkovitosti, trajnosti in konkurenčnosti. Glavni izziv, s katerimi se soočajo kratke oskrbne verige v Sloveniji, vključujejo logistiko oziroma transport in prevoz ter skladiščenje. Diplomsko delo poudarja, da so za izboljšanje delovanja kratkih oskrbnih verig potrebni celoviti ukrepi in inovacije, ki vključujejo digitalne rešitve, sodobne skladiščne sisteme in napredne logistične tehnologije. S temi ukrepi lahko slovenske alternativne prehranske mreže postanejo bolj konkurenčna, učinkovita in trajnostna, kar bo prispevalo k razvoju lokalnih skupnosti in gospodarstva ter povečalo samooskrbo s hrano v Sloveniji. Celovita strategija, ki temelji na predlaganih izboljšavah, bi lahko Slovenijo postavila med vodilne države na področju kratkih oskrbnih verig in trajnostne prehranske oskrbe, kar bi okrepilo tako lokalno ekonomijo kot okoljsko trajnost.

Leader’s possession of linguistic intelligence in relation to leader–member exchange theory

Opis: When practicing high-quality leader–member exchange (LMX) theory, the leader’s ability to communicate, build and maintain relationships is a vital part. Because leader–member exchange theory is a relationship-based approach to leadership that primarily includes social exchange and communication on a daily basis, we can highlight linguistic intelligence as a key leadership skill that is part of the multiple intelligences defined by Howard Gardner. The goal of this article was to conduct research into organizations where the leader applies LMX theory and examine whether the leader’s linguistic intelligence is positively related to the quality of the leader–member exchange. The dependent variable was the quality of the LMX. We were able to recruit 39 employees and 13 leaders. Correlations and multiple regressions were used to analyze our statement. The overall results are statistically significant and we conclude that there is a high positive correlation between LMX and linguistic intelligence in the organizations that were part of this study. A limitation of this study is the use of purposive sampling, which resulted in a relatively small sample size and may limit the generalization of the results to other populations.

43rd International Conference on Organizational Science Development: Green and Digital Transition – Challenge or Opportunity : Conference Proceedings

Opis: The 43rd International Scientific Conference on the Development of Organisational Science was held in Portorož from the 20th to the 22nd of March 2024. The main aim of the conference was to promote the importance of knowledge in the context of green and digital transtition of organizations, through academic and scientific debates and professional developments from the economic and non-economic worlds. The conference, which was held under the umbrella title " Green and Digital Transition - Challenge or Opportunity", aimed to highlight the importance of the green and digital transition for the successful achievement of organisational objectives and the appropriate overcoming of societal challenges. The objectives pursued in this context are related to the natural dimensions on the one hand, and to stimulating the economy through green technology, sustainable development and pollution reduction on the other. The green and digital transition is also an opportunity for organisations to make changes towards overarching environmental challenges. It is undoubtedly more important than ever to take decisions that generate synergies between innovation, different sciences, and applied approaches, and to promote changes in business models that will lead to a sustainable and socially responsible development environment. In Portorož, we have reconnected opinions, views, and scientific and professional debates that will stimulate all of us to act in the future, both in organizations and in society at large.

Opis: Monografija je sestavljena iz sedmih poglavij, ki so jih avtorji pripravili v povezavi z vsebino projekta “Vzpostavitev podpornega e-okolja deležnikov za celovito ureditev delovnega in bivalnega okolja v času Covid-19”. Vsem poglavjem v monografiji je ne glede na obravnavano področje skupno, da so raziskave izvedene v podjetju Aparati, d. o. o. Skozi vsa poglavja avtorji sledijo znanstvenemu pristopu skozi kritične preglede relevantnih sekundarnih virov literature, pregled stanja in raziskavo, diskusijo o ugotovitvah in podajanje predlogov za izboljšave.

Relationships between work-family balance, job satisfaction, life satisfaction and work engagement among higher education lecturers

Opis: Background and Purpose: Our research examines the impact of work-life balance on work engagement, both di­rect impact as well as through job and life satisfaction. The main aim of our research is to empirically test relations between work-life balance, job satisfaction, life satisfaction, and work engagement among higher education lectur­ers from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Serbia, and Slovenia. Methods: Using validated questionnaires, we collected data on work-life balance, job satisfaction, life satisfaction and their work engagement. The quantitative data for our analysis were collected through a survey of 164 online participants. Based on an extensive literature review, we have formulated five hypotheses, which we tested in one structural model by using structural equation modelling (SEM). Results: Our findings show that an increase in work-life balance positively relates to life and work satisfaction and that life satisfaction leads to an increase in work engagement. Conclusion: The knowledge of important impact of work-life balance, together with the understanding of the rela­tions between the researched constructs of work-life balance, life satisfaction, job satisfaction and work engage­ment, can strengthen teachers’ work engagement by respecting employees as actors in other roles and supporting work-family balance in the form of family-friendly policies and practices, and thereby contributes to the area of employee’s behaviour and improves the teacher’s productivity.

Opis: The four decades of the International Scientific Conference on the Development of Organizational Sciences are a period that brought together the academic and professional public, students, esteemed guests. The time and space are fundamental components of human life. The time of the epidemic introduces uncertainty among the people. That is why the individual of today together with the whole society, can set the building blocks for the social interweaving of society, as we are used to. We are an organization of people. Relationships between employees in organizations are the starting point for guidelines for the development of organizational sciences. This year’s conference is entitled “Values, Competencies and Changes in Organizations”. We’ll focus on the individual and the organization, which with common values co-create the integration and progress of the society. An individual who’ll cope with changes in the organizational view and the wider society with the proper competence frame. Precisely because of the many changes that have befallen us as a society, the international conference calls for the exchange of views, opinions and, above all, scientific views on the development of organizations in the future.

Primerjava ponudnikov paketnih storitev v Sloveniji

Opis: V času nastanka magistrske naloge so ljudje vse pogosteje uporabljali storitve kurirskih služb. Trend naraščanja uporabe tovrstnih storitev je pogojen z razmerami, povezanimi s pandemijo koronavirusa. V času pandemije so bile številne trgovine zaprte za daljši ali krajši čas. Kurirske službe so morale kljub povečanemu številu paketov zagotavljati kvalitetno storitev dostave paketov. Z namenom, da bi analizirali kvaliteto dostave paketov, smo preko več kurirskih služb iz Celja v Boštanj poslali paket z lomljivo vsebino. Paket je vseboval steklo, zato je bilo z njim še posebej skrbno ravnati. V začetno analizo smo vključili 12 podjetij, ki delujejo v Sloveniji, glede na izbrane kriterije in pogoje pa smo paket poslali s šestimi. Z dvema podjetjema smo morali ponoviti poskus, saj je bil prvi poskus dostave neuspešen. Analizirali smo proces dostave od naročila za prevzem paketa vse do prejema paketa na naslovnikovi strani. Glavni kriteriji so bili: čas prevzema in dostave paketa ter cena storitve. Vsi paketi so prispeli na cilj nepoškodovani, kljub temu lahko trdimo, da je le Pošta Slovenije v celoti izpolnila pričakovanja.
