1. Relationship between environmental reports and environmental performance : a case of the processing industry in the Republic of SloveniaSonja Fink Babič, Roberto Biloslavo, Borut Kodrič, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: Background/Purpose: Environmental protection issues faced by companies constitute a challenging research topic. The main objective of the study was to research if companies’ environmental performance relates to the quality of information contained in the environmental reports. Methods: In order to assess the environmental performance of companies involved we develop the Environmental Performance Index based on the Slovenian Environment Agency’s data on emissions in air, water and waste. We measured the correlation between the Environmental Performance Index and quality of environmental reporting using Spearman’s correlation coefficient. Results and Conclusion: The results of our analyses revealed that there is no significant correlation between companies’ environmental performance and the quality of their environmental reporting. However, the reasons for the obtained result can be at least partially attributed to the low quality level of analysed environmental reports. This is a reason why the calculated correlation is not as tangible as it would be if company reports would provide more information and therefore more data for analysis. Our findings suggest that voluntary environmental reporting should be complemented by legally defined mandatory elements for such reporting.

2. Adolescents as delinquent actors and as targets of preventive measuresAnabel Taefi, Thomas Görgen, Benjamin Kraus, 2013, original scientific article Abstract: Purpose:
The article aims at examining the prevalence of deviance and delinquency in a sample of students, at explaining property and violent offending via risk factors and examining students’ experiences with and views on preventive approaches.
Design/Methods/Approach:
Data stem from a school survey conducted among 2186 13–17 year old male and female students, who attended school in an urban or a rural northwest area of Germany. The instrument was developed on the basis of the new ISRD-3 questionnaire and included newly developed questions on students’ experiences with and views on preventive actors and approaches. Descriptive as well as multivariate methods are applied.
Findings:
Deviance and delinquency were found to be widespread, but mostly of low severity. Different predictors for violent and property offending can be found. Groups of students with differential involvement in delinquency show clearly differentiated profiles with regard to risk factors. Evaluations of preventive actors and approaches are very similar across groups of students with differential delinquent involvement.
Research Limitations / Implications:
Special schools have been excluded from the sample. Generally, school surveys may fail at including high risk individuals, such as students who skip school.
Practical Implications:
Findings hint at the importance of including peers and family in preventive approaches.
Originality/Value:
Extension of a self-report study among youngsters as targets of prevention with questions on their experiences and evaluations of preventive approaches may give implications on differential receptiveness of young people for preventive approaches.

Thus, the communication of a company has two objectives: for internal stakeholders’ environmental performance is measured in order to prepare decisions of corporate management, for external stakeholders the reporting on the environmental management system, the environmental performance, the ecology orientation of the value-added steps, the dealing with stakeholders and process and product innovations as well as environmental objectives are in the foreground. Finally, it should be noted that environmental reporting is increasingly part of sustainability reporting.

Environmental management & audit 3: Controlling and stakeholders : Tempus project Recoaud2016, scientific monograph Abstract: The present scientific monograph, entitled “Environmental management & audit“, is the result of three years’ work on an international project entitled “Environmental management in Russian companies – retraining courses for the sensibilization for and integration of Eco-Audit programs in corporate decision-making (RECOAUD)”.
