Management strategies for using business intelligence solution imbedded in ERP system in medium sized companies
Samo Bobek, Simona Sternad Zabukovšek, 2013, original scientific article

Abstract: Being mature and more sophisticated management reporting, analysis and decision support integrated in business intelligent require different strategies how it should be implemented as successful support for managers and to add value to the business and to the company. In the article strategies for business intelligence in medium size companies are discussed. Some findings connected to management reporting associated with ERP solutions use are presented. One research study was focused into ERP implementation issues and another in ERP use (acceptance) in their mature stage. Reports generated by ERP solutions are according to respondents suitable for operational BI as well as for BI in higher levels. Especially medium size companies in the sample use add-on BI solutions which allow analytical services and are imbedded in used ERP. Presented case research studies in medium sized companies showed that even if users are satisfied with reports provided by ERP solution quite often also demands beyond pre-defined reports functionality. The companies solve this problem with implementation of add-on'sfor BI with more complex analytical capability.

Measuring acceptance of ERF [!] solutions in organizations
Simona Sternad Zabukovšek, Samo Bobek, 2013, original scientific article

Abstract: Enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions have been implemented in most companies recently, but it seems that they are unable to point out the most important contributions of their ERP systems. One of the reasons for this might be that users do not accept and use the ERP solution properly. The technological acceptance model (TAM) proposed by Davis (1989) has been the most widely used model for researching user acceptance and usage of IT/IS. We aim to make additional contributions to the existing body of literature: (1) we focus on ERP system use in companiesʼ maturity phase and (2) we expose and examine three groups of external factors which influence ERP usage. We empirically tested the using data collected from a survey in 44 companies in European Union. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Tehnological Acceptence Model (TAM), maturity phase.

Success factors for dynamics NAV solution implementation
Simona Sternad Zabukovšek, Samo Bobek, 2012, original scientific article

Abstract: Enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution implementation is a complex process that requires substantial resources and efforts and involves considerable risks reflected in the time, scope, and cost of project implementation, yet the results are very uncertain. As ERP hype has reached large organizations as well as small and medium enterprises, we examined the critical success factors in ERP implementation. Based on the literature review, a model was developed. The results of our survey in Slovenia demonstrated that organizations have to pay attention to different critical success factors in different phases of the implementation process. Recommendations for future implementations and comments on our findings are included in the conclusion.
