Product development simulation with multicriteria analysis

Abstract: Effective product development rests on a productćs design ability to create a positive product experience. This involves complex transformation of product information from customers to engineers to production to sales and back to customers. This work presents the concept of simulating the development of a new product. The multicriteria analysis of product development in a multi-dimensional space is being used. Based on simulation, the model shows in which direction the product will be developed on the basis of existing information. In the set multi-dimensional space, in which each observation parameter has a designated polar dimensional in terms of dependence on time, development on the basis of selected products is simulated. In an innovative way and in the case of sanitary fittings, simulation of the development of a new product in the early stages of design ideas is shown.

Multicriteria evaluation of high-speed rail, transrapid Maglev and Air passenger transport in Europe

Abstract: This article deals with a multicriteria evaluation of High-Speed Rail, Transrapid Maglev and Air Passenger Transport in Europe. Operational, socio-economic and environmental performance indicators of the specific high-speed transport systems are adopted as the evaluation criteria. By using the entropy method, weights are assigned to particular criteria in order to indicate their relative importance in decision-making. The TOPSIS method is applied to carry out the multicriteria evaluation and selection of the preferable alternative (high-speed system) under given circumstances.

Application of analytical hierarchy process in agriculture

Abstract: Hierarchical decision models are a general decision support methodology aimed at the classification or evaluation of options that accur in desion-making processes. Decision models are typically developed through the decomposition of complex decision problems into smaller and less comple subproblems. This paper presents an approach to the development and implementation of multicriteria decision model based on Analytical Hierarchy Process - AHP (Expert Choice, EC). Likewise, the AHP is used as a potential multicriteria decision making method for application in agriculture. In order to show the implementation of explained MCDA methods in real situation in agriculture, theapplication of AHP on a sample model farm is presented in the second part of the article.
