Through a systematic review of existing learning theories and the concept of CoPs, this paper identifies the challenges of entrepreneurial education and proposes changes in higher education that focus on creating entrepreneurial awareness, enhancing entrepreneurial competencies and developing students' entrepreneurial identity to foster an entrepreneurial mindset by supporting formal higher education with informal educational practices such as CoPs. The originality of this paper lies in the presentation of the alternative concept of Accountable Entrepreneurial Education. By combining theoretical insights with practical examples, this paper serves as a valuable resource for educators, researchers and practitioners in the field of entrepreneurship education. 2. Mobile applications for learning hand hygiene : a comparative analysisDominika Muršec, Adrijana Svenšek, Lucija Gosak, Sonja Šostar-Turk, Urška Rozman, Gregor Štiglic, Mateja Lorber, 2024, review article Abstract: Infection control is crucial for high-quality patient care. One of the most effective and commonly used infection control procedures is hand hygiene which, it is known, requires repeated refresher training. There are many ways to educate healthcare professionals about hand hygiene, including the use of mobile applications (apps). Our aim is to review such hand hygiene apps, and to identify which have been available since 2021 and to assess their quality. We conducted a review using the PRISMA diagram to document our app selection process in the Google Play Store and Apple store in March 2024. For the evaluation of apps, we used the user version of the Mobile Application Rating Scale questionnaire (uMARS). Of 16 apps only five adhere to WHO hand hygiene guidelines. Timers were included in 12 of the 16 apps and reminders were included in 10 of 16 apps. The highest overall uMARS scoring app was Give Me 5–Hand Hygiene (4.31 ± 0.28), while Wash your hands! (1.17 ± 0.14) had the lowest score. We found that more than half of the apps were unavailable from the 2021 review. We believe that app-based education could effectively sustain hand hygiene knowledge in healthcare settings. Implementation of the modern immersive learning model CPLMMatej Veber, Igor Pesek, Boris Aberšek, 2022, original scientific article Abstract: The digitalization of industrial processes is being driven forward worldwide. In parallel, the education system must also be transformed. Currently, education does not follow the opportunities and development of technologies. We can ask ourselves how we can integrate technologies into a traditional learning process or how we can adapt the learning process to these technologies. We focused on robotics education in secondary vocational education. The paper contains research results from a modern learning model that addresses student problem-solving using cyber-physical systems. We proposed a reference model for industrial robotics education in the 21st century based on an innovative cyber-physical didactic model (CPLM). We conducted procedure time measurements, questionnaire evaluations, and EEG evaluations. We could use VR to influence the improvement of spatial and visual memory. The more intense representation of the given information influences multiple centers in the brain and, thus, the formation of multiple neural connections. We can influence knowledge, learning more effectively with short-term training in the virtual world than with classical learning methods. From the studied resources, we can conclude that the newer approach to teaching robotics is not yet available in this form. The emerging modern technologies and the possibility of developing training in this area should be investigated further. 4. Assessment of supporting visual learning technologies in the immersive VET cyber-physical learning modelMatej Veber, Igor Pesek, Boris Aberšek, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: Humanity faces diverse technological, societal, and sociological challenges. Digitalization is being integrated into every aspect of our lives. Technologies are developing rapidly and the ways in which we live and learn are changing. Young people are acquiring information and learning in a different way than in the recent past. Education systems are no longer keeping up with the development of technology. Education systems need to adapt and introduce technologies that motivate students and ultimately contribute to higher learning goals. To this end, we need to develop modern learning models that support education and technological development. In previous research, we developed and evaluated a state-of-the-art learning model, the CPLM. We built on this with a new study, in which we assessed the difference between the cognitive activities of attention and meditation in students during the viewing of a classical educational video, a 360° video, and an AR app on a screen. We found that the 360° video had the greatest impact on students' attention and is consequently suitable for initially motivating students in the proposed learning model. We made a proposal for a modern educational model and possibilities for further research. 5. Implementation of process-targeted activities of prospective chemistry teachers during continuous teaching practice : a rational comparative analysis of teaching methods according to the expressed competenciesDarinka Sikošek, Kornelia Žarić, 2013, original scientific article Abstract: The main aim of the teacher study program is to ensure the proper role of teaching practice, which is included in initial teacher training courses. It is necessary that teachers of chemistry gain or develop learner competencies for appropriate teaching/ learning in the chemistry subject by using innovative teaching methods. In terms of activities and methods correction of the continuous teaching practice model for prospective chemistry teachers in Pedagogical study program of 2nd degree "Educational Chemistry" which would ensure the creation of a competent chemistry teacher (active and innovative). The main result of the study is a list of potential competencies by prospective chemistry teachers using innovative teaching methods. These competencies can be developed and produced in the performance of activities defined by using continuous teaching practice, particularly in the areas of testing and assessment, experiential and collaborative learning, and experimental (laboratory and field) work. Each of these components is separately assessed by activity and competence.
