Factors influencing the purchase intention of autonomous cars
Darja Topolšek, Dario Babić, Darko Babić, Tina Cvahte Ojsteršek, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: Even though autonomous cars have not yet crossed into the mainstream car market, their adoption seems inevitable, but not much is known about the purchasing intention of ACs and potential influences on it. To better understand the influences of various factors on purchasing intentions of autonomous cars, research using bibliometrics, an online survey and SEM modelling was performed. Based on an analysis of previous research work and the unified theory of acceptance of technology, an empirical model was produced and tested using data obtained from an online survey involving 266 individuals. The goal was to analyse which characteristics of autonomous cars, socio-demographic variables of potential buyers, and buyers' personal and social characteristics could potentially influence the adoption of autonomous cars. The results show that factors of car safety, buyer age and level of education, perceived social influence, anxiety and performance expectancy are significantly correlated to purchasing intention of ACs, while correlations with other factors to purchasing intentions have not been proven.

Drivers and barriers for the adoption of circular economy principles towards efficient resource utilisation
Vesna Alivojvodić, Filip Kokalj, 2024, original scientific article

Abstract: Contemporary societies, whether they have reached advanced levels of economic and social development or are still developing, need to prioritise the implementation of circular economy practices. This will facilitate the shift towards regenerative, sustainable, and closed-loop industrial systems. For now, there are some efforts to encourage patterns of production and consumption through changes in economic trends, development of institutional frameworks, harmonising regulations in the field of environmental protection, and raising the level of social awareness to achieve, above all, greater efficiency of resources. Extensive literature that deals with monitoring the implementation of the circular economy already indicates the existence of numerous barriers in this process but also notices some incentives for raising the degree of circularity of the observed systems. In this paper, the question of whether a single value can represent the level of circularity of the chosen material/product chain is researched. An overview of barriers and drivers for implementing circular economy strategies is given to structure a proper metric framework in correlation to the research question. The objective was to simplify the monitoring of circularity by developing a unique index for comparing material/product chains in similar systems. This was accomplished by using the circular material use (CMU) rate introduced in the European Union and modifying it for financial data calculation. As a result, the circular economy index, which covers all 9R strategies (CEIR), is obtained. The practical verification of model applicability was shown by determining the degree of circularity achieved for passenger cars in the four observed EU countries.

SWOT Analysis of Pedelecs and E-Cars in Selected Countries of the Danube Region
Gregor Srpčič, Iztok Brinovar, Katja Hanžič, Miralem Hadžiselimović, Sebastijan Seme, 2019, published scientific conference contribution

Abstract: This paper deals with pedelecs and e-cars in urban transport systems in selected countries of the Danube region. Within the EU project eGUTS a feasibility study focused on pedelecs and e-cars was made. Country specific information on e-mobility (pedelecs and ecars) was gathered and is briefly presented in chapter 2. In addition, a common SWOT analysis for all selected countries of the Danube region was made and is presented in the conclusion of the paper.
Keywords: pedelecs, e-cars, electric vehicles, SWOT analysis, Danube region

Suitability of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powertrain for High-Performance Sports Cars : diplomsko delo
Dominik Ozmec, 2021, undergraduate thesis

Abstract: This bachelor´s thesis describes the development of Hydrogen Fuel Cell powertrain based on the case of the Tushek TS900 hybrid car. We wanted to see if a hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle could achieve comparable performance compared to an existing hybrid vehicle. We have built a Fuell Cell propulsion model for the high-performance sports car Tushek TS900, then we presented the basics and principles of the powertrains itself, and its connections. We performed vehicle acceleration simulations and compared them with a hybrid powertrain powered vehicle.
