SVET KOT NAVIDEZNA RESNIČNOST

Abstract: V zadnjem desetletju lahko sledimo razvoju popolnoma novih kategorij spletnih strani. Spletne strani, ki so od začetka popolnoma 'prazne', sčasoma naselijo obiskovalci, ki z gradnjo in uporabo nenaseljenih navideznih območij postanejo prebivalci navideznih skupnosti. Ne na Luni in še manj na Marsu, ampak tu, v teh navideznih svetovih, nove skupnosti ustvarjajo svoja prebivališča. Dejanski pomen besede 'navidezen' je 'neresničen' in pomeni 'prisotnost nečesa, kar ni določeno'. Hiter razvoj navideznih skupnosti briše meje med navideznim (neresničnim) in fizičnim (resničnim) svetom. Nadaljnji razvoj in širjenje navideznih svetov pa nam odpirata praktično še neraziskane možnosti za razvoj družbe v gospodarskem, kulturnem in socialnem smislu. Seznanimo se z enimi izmed navideznih svetov — navideznim svetom Second Life. Z izvedbo in primarno analizo rezultatov spletnega vprašalnika proučimo in določimo značilnosti dejanskih uporabnikov tega 'drugega življenja'.

PRENOVA PROCESA ''REŠEVANJE REKLAMACIJ OSEBNIH ZAVAROVANJ'' NA ZAVAROVALNICI TRIGLAV, D.D.

Abstract: V diplomski nalogi se srečujemo s problemom neučinkovitega reševanja reklamacij osebnih zavarovanj na Oddelku podpore osebnih zavarovanj Zavarovalnice Triglav, d. d. S povezavo treh osnovnih informacijskih sistemov, ki jih trenutno uporablja Oddelek osebnih zavarovanj, v en povezan sistem, bi se ustvarila tekmovalna prednost v obdelavi zavarovanj, posledično pa bi povzročilo tudi dvig podjetniške učinkovitosti. Slednje bi bilo vodilo v boljše zadovoljstvo zaposlenih in drugih vpletenih strank (zavarovancev, posredovalcev zavarovanj, njihovih nadrejenih). Diplomsko delo temelji na domnevi, da je ustrezno, ažurno in kakovostno reševanje reklamacij izredno pomembno za doseganje dobrih poslovnih uspehov. Osredotočamo se na kakovost in ažurno opravljanje storitve za zavarovance, ki so najbolj pomemben element v poslovnem sistemu naše organizacije. V zaključku diplomske naloge so predlagane rešitve na konkretnem primeru. Glede na to, da ima Zavarovalnica Triglav, d. d. na razpolago ustrezno tehnologijo in usposobljene informacijske kadre na tem področju, je rešitev oz. izboljšava obstoječega sistema izvedljiva, toda le ob podpori vodstva.

Numerical analysis of the crack growth in a high loaded bolt connection

Abstract: The paper deals with the research on the crack growth in a bolt connection of a lug for crane counter weight bars. Counter weight bars are structural elements subjected to very heavy loads and therefore need special attention. The main purpose of this research is to determine the number of load cycles required for a crack to propagate from initial to criticakl crack length, whenthe final failure can be expected to occur. All required material parameters and experimental results were determined in our previous research. The influence of the initial crack siye upon the remaining life of the lug is reserched numericallu by means of FE analysis and analytically by use of the corrected analystical model.

Numerical calculation of bending fatigue life of thin-rim spur gears

Abstract: Mechanical elements subjected to cyclic loading have to be designed against fatigue. The main goal of the presented analysis was to determine the the bending fatigue life prediction of thin rim spur gears. The service life is divided into the initiation phase of the damage accumulation and the crack growth, resprcitively. The analysis has been performed usig FEM and BEM. The continuum mechanics approach is used for the prediction of the fatigue life initiation phase, where the basic fatigue material parameters are taken into account. The evaluation of the structure remaining life with initial crack the linear-elastic fracture mechanics LEFM principles are applied.

Review of mathematical and experimental models for determination of service life of gears

Abstract: To confirm mathematical models for the determination of service life of gears we developed different nonstandard test pieces and used a combination of mixed experimental methods on them. The aim of these combinations was to obtain as complete information as possible about the individual influences and to detrmine the interaction between different fracture mechanics magnitudes. In this way we confirmed the models as a whole and also determined some physical interpretations in models. With this we were able to ensure that the presented model is not purely a mathematical model.

Evaluation of the service life of gears in regrad to surface pitting

Abstract: A computational model for determining the service life of gear teeth flanks in regard to surface pitting is presented. The model considers the material fatigue process leading to pitting, i.e. the conditions required for the short fatigue crack propagation originating from the initial crack in a single material grain. In view of small crack lengths observed in surface pitting, the simulation takes into account the short crack growth theory. The stress field in the contact area and the required functional relationship between thestress intensity factor and the crack length are determined by the finite element method. An equivalent model of two contacting cylinders is used for numerical simulations of crack propagation in the contact area. On the basis of numerical results, and with consideration of some particular material parameters, the probable service life period of contacting surfaces is estimated for surface curvatures and loadings that are most commonly encountered in engineering practice.

Critical plane modelling of fatigue initiation under rolling and sliding contact

Abstract: Contact fatigue is a phenomenon of important practical significance for engineering applications involving localized contacts, such as gears, rail wheel system and rolling bearings. The service lifetime of such components is related to damage, which results from the contact fatigue. The process in the material structure that causes this kind of failure is quite complicated. The aim of the present paper is to describe a contact fatigue initiation criterion, based on the critical plane approach for the general contact problem. On the basis of contact stress analysis with modified Hertzian boundary conditions, the loading cycle of characteristic material points in the contact area is determined. The Dang Van damage initiation criterion is based on the critical plane approach, which combines the largest allowable shearing and hydrostatic stresses (tensile and compressive), with an assumed elastic shakedown behaviour and it is used in this work. The material point of initial fatigue damage is then determined at the transition of the loading cycle stresses over the critical plane. The model assumed a homogeneous and elastic material model, without any imperfections or residual stresses, and elastic shakedown is considered. A proper determination of loading cycles and their characteristic values is of significance for contact fatigue initiation analysis. Finally, determination of the most critical material point on or under the contact surface and related number of loading cycles required for fatigue damage initiation is calculated with the strain-life (▫$epsilon$▫-N) method.

Computational model for the analysis of bending fatigue in gears

Abstract: A computational model for the determination of service life of gears with regard to bending fatigue in a gear tooth root is presented. The fatigue process leading to tooth breakage is divided into crack initiation (Ni) and crack propagation (Np) periods, where the complete service life is defined as N = Ni + Np. The strain-life method in the framework of the FEM method has been used to determine the number of stress cycles Ni required for fatigue crack initiation. Gear tooth crack propagation was simulated using a FEM method based computer program which uses principles of linear elastic fracture mechanics. The Paris equation is then used for the further simulation of the fatigue crack growth. The presented model is used to determine the service life of a real spur gear made from through-hardened steel 42CrMo4.
