RAZVOJ IN IZDELAVA MALOSERIJSKIH IN PROTOTIPNIH ORODIJ ZA BRIZGANJE PLASTIKE

Abstract: V nalogi je predstavljen razvoj novega izdelka in tehnologije za njegovo izdelavo, s pomočjo metode vzvratnega inženirstva. Metoda za maloserijsko izdelavo realnega izdelka je bila izbrana na podlagi primerjave postopkov hitre izdelave orodij in klasičnih orodjarskih postopkov. Na podlagi analize različnih pristopov je bila izbrana izdelava aluminijastega orodja s postopkom CNC rezkanja. Naloga vsebuje kratke opise tehnologij za hitro izdelavo orodij in utemeljitve končne izbire postopka izdelave konkretnega orodja. Osrednji del naloge sestavlja opis orodij za brizganje plastike ter razvoj in izdelava orodja za brizganje plastičnih čepov.

PRIMERJAVA TEHNOLOŠKIH POSTOPKOV ZA IZDELAVO FIKSNIH PROTETIČNIH KONSTRUKCIJ V STOMATOLOGIJI

Abstract: Pri izdelavi protetičnih konstrukcij gre za individualen izdelek, narejen za točno določenega pacienta, kateri je izgubil zob. Pri izbiri izdelave konstrukcije fiksnega protetičnega nadomestka lahko izbiramo med tremi tehnologijami (precizijsko litje, rezkanje in selektivno lasersko nataljevanje). Protetične konstrukcije opravljajo nosilno funkcijo zobnih nadomestkov, ki imajo poleg prehranjevalne tudi estetsko vlogo. Izbiro izdelovalne tehnologije protetičnih konstrukcij narekuje material konstrukcije ter kriteriji gospodarnosti. Pri izbiri materiala igrajo pomembno vlogo trenutni tržni dejavniki in nekatera spoznanja o kemični (ne)ustreznosti nekaterih zelo razširjenih kovinskih zlitin. Rezultati naloge so pokazali nekatere bistvene tehnološko-gospodarske prednosti selektivnega laserskega nataljevanja (SLM) na področju izdelave kovinskih konstrukcij.

IZDELAVA PRILAGOJENIH LOBANJSKIH VSADKOV Z DODAJALNIMI TEHNOLOGIJAMI

Abstract: V današnjem času se vse pogosteje izdelujejo izdelki, ki so namenjeni samo določeni osebi. Medicina je eno od področij, kjer so potrebe po individualnih izdelkih še posebej izrazite. Pri izdelavi takšnih izdelkov si največkrat pomagamo s tehnikami s področja hitre izdelave prototipov in hitre izdelave orodij. Diplomsko delo prikazuje primer teh tehnik za izdelavo lobanjskega vsadka. Namen lobanjskega vsadka je zapolniti praznino v lobanji, ki je lahko posledica tako poškodbe kot tudi bolezni. Rezultat diplomskega dela je bil izdelan lobanjski vsadek, ki so ga vgradili pacientki v Univerzitetnem kliničnem centru v Mariboru.

PRILAGAJANJE OBLIKE IZDELKA TEHNOLOGIJI BRIZGANJA PLASTIKE

Abstract: Diplomsko delo predstavlja razvoj novega izdelka, ki je osnova za ustanovitev novega mladega podjetja. Izdelek je zvočnik, ki predvaja usmerjen zvok in se imenuje Acouspade. Zvočnik projicira zvok samo v eno točko v prostoru in ta zvok je slišen samo tam. Ker je to novo podjetje, je potrebno najti način, da se bo izdelek čim ceneje izdeloval. Z optimiranjem oblike izdelka smo ga poenostavili do te mere, da ga je možno izdelovati v enostavnih, dvodelnih orodjih s postopkom brizganja plastičnih mas. Pri tem postopku zapletenost orodja pomembno vpliva na ceno. V diplomskem delu je predstavljen celoten postopek konstruiranja orodja za brizganje plastike. Sklepna ugotovitev je, da s prilagajanjem izdelka do te mere, da je orodje zanj enostavno, postane tudi izdelava manjših serij rentabilna.

OPTIMIZACIJA OBLIKE OHIŠJA REDUKTORJA ZA TEHNOLOŠKI POSTOPEK LITJA

Abstract: Podjetje SIP Šempeter razvija nov obračalnik, katerega sestavni del je tudi reduktor za prenos momenta na obračalne ročice – pajke. Osrednja tema diplomskega dela je rekonstrukcija ohišja reduktorja iz sedanje prototipne oblike, ki je izvedena v obliki zvarjenca v obliko, ki ustreza tehnologiji litja v pesek. Za polno tehnološko prilagoditev izdelka smo se poslužili simulacijskih postopkov s katerimi smo ugotovili pravilno postavitev vseh tehnoloških značilnosti (dolivki, napajalniki, itd.). Pri rekonstrukciji je nujno upoštevati določena livarska pravila in tako v tehnološkem smislu prilagoditi obliko izdelka, pri čemer pa se njegova funkcionalnost ne sme v ničemer spremeniti. V sklepu diplomskega dela smo dokazali, da je postopek litja ekonomičen že pri manjših serijah.

Additive fabrication in metallurgy - case study of grey cast iron valve production

Abstract: Additive Fabrication technologies are well known from the last two decades. In that time Additive Fabrication technologies have evolved from strictly prototype part production into an option that can also be used to produce end-user parts. With development of Additive Fabrication machines capable of producing metal parts, a complete substitution of conventional metal casting technologies is possible. However, direct Additive Fabrication of metal parts is still not time/cost effective when producing large volume parts, and nowadays there is still lack of materials that can be used on those machines. This paper presents a method how a conventional sand casting process can be assisted by Additive Fabrication technologies. A sand mould pattern is produced by Selective Laser Sintering. Additive Fabrication is also used in direct manufacturing of cores.

Basic solutions on shape complexity evaluation of STL data

Abstract: Purpose of this paper is to present basic solutions on shape complexity, based on basic information of the STL data. Design/methodology/approach: Paper presents a few methods of mathematically evaluating the complexity of the shape. Methods vary from very simple based on the number of triangles in STL file, STL file size and the parts volume, to the more complex mathematical evaluation based on the basic relations of the STL data. Findings: We discovered that evaluation of shape complexity based only on basic data of STL data gives us some basic results on part complexity and can be used for further researches. Research limitations/implications: For parts with large block volume/part volume ratio and thinner parts with free form surfaces only the first method is suitable and gives suitable results. Practical implications: In a rapidly developing field of manufacturing technologies choosing the optimal manufacturing procedure is a difficult and crucial decision. Usually the decision is based on experience evaluation that is fast and can be optimal. Usually, this method produces goods results, but in some cases this method can lead to cost increases and reduced economic efficiency without us even knowing that. Therefore, it is crucial, that a fast and simple solution is developed, by which the optimal way of manufacturing can be determined. Originality/value: Choosing maximum efficient manufacturing processes on base of part complexity is a new perspective in manufacturing, which, properly evolved and complied can cause revolution in manufacturing optimization, especially in hybrid manufacturing processes.

Development of a 3D printer for thermoplastic modelling

Abstract: Additive technologies are entering the market in all price segments and the development of new machines and materials is rapidly growing. Machines under 2000 EUR are more and more interesting for home and educational use. This paper presents the development of a 3D printer that shapes the parts layer by layer by depositing the material on a predefined position. The development is presented from the engineering point of view. The construction steps, the control and the actuator solutions are presented. The ABS plastic was analysed for its material properties. The 3D printer evolved from a prototype to the pre-production phase.

A fast method to predict the cooling time of wax for investment casting procedure

Abstract: The investment casting of metal parts is a rapid tooling/manufacturing method for small series production, where wax pattern is produced separately and then extracted from the mould. The wax parts commonly used as patterns are usually obtained after wax casting silicone rubber moulds. The time needed for the wax to solidify is critical and difficult to predict. This article presents an experimental method for cooling-time determination using a simplified applicable solution (needed in hash industrial environment and short deadlines) based on real-life parts experience.
