1. Expressing added value in food supply chainsNejc Zidar, Jernej Turk, Jernej Prišenk, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: Value-added food supply chains are chains that maintain positive social, environmental, and community values which are integrated into the production process from the primary producer to the final consumer, ensuring economic, social, and environmental sustainability, thus forming a sustainable agricultural and food production system. The evaluation of the value added in each chain is based on indicators, which are a tool to measure changes in the actual situation or to show performance trends in achieving the progress set by the objectives. The presented indicators are based on publicly available statistics and foreign literature that allow measuring value added in specific livestock chains at aggregate level (beef production, pork production and dairy production) and are based on publicly available statistics in the Republic of Slovenia. The need to produce indicators of value added in livestock food supply chains arises from the large differences in structural changes in the sector itself and in the development and economic performance of the various livestock industries. 2. Development of a theoretical model for the price formation of agri-food products in the food supply chain : aǂ Slovenian case studyJernej Prišenk, Nejc Zidar, Jernej Turk, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: The main objective of the research was to develop a theoretical model for price construction in the agri-food sector, which should enable better transparency and efficiency of pricing policies in the food supply chain. The central part of the article focuses on the data set, in which the data sources and the economic analysis methodology are presented in detail. Based on this analysis, a theoretical model for pricing was developed, which is presented in more detail in a separate chapter. The model focuses on prices in three sectors (primary production, food processing industry and distribution/retail) of different food and agri-food chains and offers concrete solutions to improve pricing in these chains. The final chapter contains guidelines and recommendations for the practical application of the model with the aim of improving the transparency and effectiveness of pricing policy in the agri-food sector. The overall report represents an important contribution to understanding the behaviour and responsiveness of agri-food systems to specific cost changes and provides useful guidance for policy makers and stakeholders in the agri-food sector. 3. An Assessment of food value chains to identify gaps and make recommendations for further development: ǂA ǂ Slovenian case studyJernej Prišenk, Jernej Turk, Karmen Pažek, Črtomir Rozman, Andreja Borec, Nejc Zidar, 2024, original scientific article Abstract: The content of this paper presents the research results of a three-year research project in which a multi-criteria evaluation model (according to the DEX methodology) was developed for the evaluation of three different food sectors (represented by a cattle breeding chain, a pig farming chain, and a milk production chain) with added value in Slovenia. Indicators for the assessment of the economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable development of food chains were taken into account. The data for the analysis, such as prices and costs of food, wage levels by sector, food miles and others, were obtained from various public services between 2020 and 2023. The final qualitative assessment of the food sectors was uniform (“average”), while the longest analysis of the results using the plus-minus-1 analysis method showed the reasons for such an assessment in individual sectors (such as the ratio between the price of agricultural products and the price of agricultural inputs is poor, the ratio between average gross salary in the individual food sector and gross salary in the agricultural sector is poor, etc.). In addition to the results already mentioned, recommendations or suggestions for building a sustainable food chain were made using the results of the modelling. The research results contributed to a better understanding of the importance of stable relationships between different groups of indicators and later showed their importance for improving the functioning of agri-food chains. The results of the research will help various stakeholders (such as the agricultural advisory service, decision-makers at the level of agricultural policy, researchers in further analyses, and especially the international professional public interested in various case studies from EU countries) to further analyse and plan for the organisation of the agricultural sector. 4. Policijska pooblastila v zakonski ureditvi in praksi : diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijaNejc Zidar, 2015, undergraduate thesis Abstract: Diplomska naloga govori o policijskih pooblastilih. Predstavili smo katera so temeljna načela za uporabo pooblastil ter podrobneje predstavili izbrana policijska pooblastila. Predstavili smo zakonodajo, ki ureja uporabo policijskih pooblastil, predvsem Zakon o nalogah in pooblastilih policije (2013), Zakon o kazenskem postopku (2014), Zakon o prekrških-1 (2011), Zakon o pravilih cestnega prometa (2013) in Zakon o nadzoru državne meje-2 (2010).
Z raziskavo smo potrdili vse tri hipoteze.
