maximize value and performance while minimizing risk and cost. This study aims to identify and evaluate the
barriers to AMS adoption and evaluate them from a healthcare perspective.
Design/methodology/approach – The study is based on a combination of the Delphi method and the analytic
hierarchy process (AHP) with 30 participants from various Slovenian healthcare organizations. Through
iterative consensus and prioritization, the Delphi-AHP process resulted in 23 validated barriers, ranked
according to their perceived importance for AMS implementation.
Findings – The resultsidentified key barriersto implementing AMS in healthcare organizations and categorized
them into five dimensions: strategic, human resources, contextual, structural and procedural. The highest ranked barriers were deficient leadership, a shortage of qualified personnel and workforce overload. This
indicates that strategic alignment and organizational capacity are perceived as the most critical obstacles to
adopting AMS.
Originality/value – Thisstudy advancesthe existing literature by addressing a critical gap and providing deeper
insight into the factors that impede the successful implementation of AMS in healthcare settings, a domain

2. Psihološko dobro počutje zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi v povezavi z zadovoljstvom pri deluNataša Zorko, 2025, master's thesis Abstract: Uvod: Za zagotavljanje kakovostne, varne, učinkovite in celostne zdravstvene nege je ključnega pomena psihološko dobro počutje zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi in njihovo zadovoljstvo pri delu. Namen zaključnega dela je bil ugotoviti stopnjo psihološkega dobrega počutja zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi v povezavi z zadovoljstvom pri delu.
Metode: V teoretičnem delu je bila uporabljena deskriptivna metoda dela, v empiričnem delu pa deskriptivna presečna raziskava z metodo anketiranja. Kot raziskovalni instrument je bil uporabljen anketni vprašalnik. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 100 zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi, ki so člani izbranega regijskega društva medicinskih sester, babic in zdravstvenih tehnikov. Pridobljeni podatki so bili statistično obdelani in analizirani z Microsoft Excel 2013 in IBM SPSS 29.0.
Rezultati: Rezultati kažejo, da zaposleni v zdravstveni negi dosegajo visoko stopnjo psihološkega dobrega počutja (PV = 4,68) in srednjo stopnjo zadovoljstva pri delu (PV = 3,9) ter da se psihološko dobro počutje z zadovoljstvom na delovnem mestu statistično pomembno pozitivno povezuje.
Razprava in zaključek: Rezultati raziskave so spodbudni, saj kažejo na dobro subjektivno doživljanje posameznikov v povezavi z njihovim delom. Zagotavljanje optimalnega psihološkega dobrega počutja zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi in njihovega zadovoljstva pri delu je pomembno, saj vpliva na kakovost in varnost zdravstvene nege ter celotnega zdravstvenega sistema. The influence of emotional labor and emotional intelligence on cesarean section decision-making among midwives and obstetricians in Kosovo : a cross-sectional study using conjoint analysisBesarta Taganoviq, Pam Smith, Mateja Lorber, Ilir Hoxha, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: Introduction: Cesarean section rates continue to increase worldwide. In 2021, one in every five deliveries was delivered by cesarean section. This is particularly alarming in resource-limited countries such as Kosovo, where the rates continue to increase and vary considerably between hospitals. Understanding the underlying factors that drive the increase and variation of cesarean section rates may help to change these trends. This study investigates how emotional intelligence and emotional labor impact cesarean section decision-making among midwives and obstetricians in Kosovo, along with clinical factors. Methods: We employed a conjoint analysis using a cross-sectional study design to assess preferences that drive decisions for cesarean section. We used the Dutch questionnaire on Emotional Labor, the Assessing Emotions Scale, and the Quality of Decision-making questionnaire, and designed a conjoint questionnaire with 28 hypothetical scenarios. We invited all midwives and obstetricians employed at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo to participate in the study. The data were collected from January to the end of March 2023. Stata 18 BE was used for statistical computing and data visualization. Results: A gestational age of 42 weeks decreased CS likelihood among midwives (OR=0.75; 95% CI: 0.62–0.90, p=0.002). Previous cesarean sections (OR=1.42; 95% CI: 1.11–1.81, p=0.005) and hypertension (OR=1.23; 95% CI: 1.01–1.51, p=0.042) raised CS odds for midwives. A pelvic size of 8 cm significantly increased CS likelihood for midwives (OR=1.70; 95% CI: 1.37–2.09, p<0.001), while a size of 11 cm was protective for both groups (midwives: OR=0.73; 95% CI: 0.57–0.93, p=0.010; obstetricians: OR=0.70; 95% CI: 0.52–0.94, p=0.019). Maternal age of 40 years was significant only for obstetricians (OR=1.43; 95% CI: 1.00–2.06, p=0.052), and university education was significant for midwives (OR=1.19; 95% CI: 1.03–1.37, p=0.020). Non-clinical factors and emotional measures showed no significant or consistent trends in either group. Conclusions: Various clinical and non-clinical factors shape the decision to recommend a cesarean section, with obstetricians and midwives prioritizing these factors differently. These findings underscore the importance of implementing evidence-based practices to enhance maternal and newborn health outcomes in Kosovo and similar settings, while optimizing cesarean decision-making. 4. Person-centred care in association with psychological well-being of older adultsMateja Lorber, Nataša Mlinar Reljić, Brendan McCormack, Sergej Kmetec, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: Background: As the global population ages, there is an increasing focus on enhancing the psychological well-being of older adults. A key strategy is person-centred care, which emphasises recognising each individual as unique, with their values, needs, and preferences. This study explored older adults’ perceptions of person-centred care and its relationship with their general health and psychological well-being. Methods: A cross-sectional study involving 632 participants aged 65 to 96 years (mean age = 73.4 ± 6.7) was conducted, comprising 435 (69%) female and 197 (31%) male participants. Of these, 57% lived in home environments, while 43% resided in retirement homes. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire that included the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12), the Warwick–Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS), and the Person-Centred Practice Inventory for Service Users (PCPI-SU). Data analysis was performed using SPSS Statistics 28.0, and non-parametric tests such as the Kruskal–Wallis test, Mann–Whitney U test, and Spearman’s correlation were used. Results: Older adults who reported more frequent contact with relatives or loved ones (daily or several times per week) and those residing in home environments perceived significantly higher levels of person-centred care compared to those with less frequent contact and those living in retirement homes (p < 0.001 for both variables). General health varied significantly according to gender (p = 0.009), level of education (p < 0.001), and living environment (p = 0.004), while psychological well-being among older adults showed significant differences based solely on their level of education (p < 0.001). Regression analysis revealed that person-centred care (p = 0.017) and monthly income (p < 0.001) were significantly associated with the psychological well-being of older adults, independent of their living environment. Conclusions: The findings suggest that person-centred care and monthly income significantly predict psychological well-being among older adults. Differences in perceived care and health outcomes were also observed based on gender, education level, and living environment. These results underscore the importance of promoting person-centred care practices, particularly in retirement home settings, to enhance psychological well-being in older adult populations. Dojemanje starejših oseb o paliativni oskrbi v domovih za starejšeKarin Majer, 2025, undergraduate thesis Abstract: Uvod: Paliativna oskrba je pristop, ki izboljšuje kakovost življenja pacientov in njihovih družin, ki se soočajo s težavami, povezanimi z življenjsko nevarno boleznijo, ter lajšanjem trpljenja. Namen zaključnega dela je ugotoviti, na kakšen način starejše osebe dojemajo paliativno oskrbo v domovih za starejše.
Metode: Uporabljen je bil sistematični pregled literature z metodo pregleda, analize in sinteze znanstvene literature. Članki so bili iskani v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE in SAGE. Vključitveni kriteriji, ki so bili uporabljeni, so starejše osebe, paliativna oskrba v domovih za starejše, dojemanje paliativne oskrbe ter kvantitativne, kvalitativne raziskave in raziskave mešanih metod.
Rezultati: Od skupno 606 člankov je bilo v raziskavo vključenih šest člankov. Raziskave so bile izvedene v štirih državah. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da se starejše osebe same smrti in umiranja ne bojijo, bolj jim povzroča skrbi, glede na številne izgube, ki so jih doživeli. Starejšim krhkim osebam so pomembni socialni odnosi in komunikacija, občutek pripadnosti ter da imajo občutek fizičnih in kognitivnih sposobnosti, saj jim izguba le-teh povzroča izgubo neodvisnosti in dostojanstva.
Razprava in Zaključek: Paliativna oskrba se prilagaja individualnim potrebam in željam posameznika, saj njen glavni cilj ostaja izboljšanje kakovosti življenja in zagotavljanje udobja. Food vending machines typically offer unhealthy, calorie-dense, and nutrient-poor options, which contribute to the rise of non-communicable diseases. Creating a healthier food environment is crucial, particularly in universities where students are developing their eating habits and becoming more independent. Key considerations for vending machines include the quality, nutritional value, and price of the products with a recent and growing attention toward sustainability. Methods: The present study thoroughly examined 30 vending machines across 30 faculties in Slovenia. The analysis focused on assessing the variety and sustainability of the available products. The following was evaluated through three primary criteria, based on the information available on the product label: nutritional quality, environmental impact (palm oil content, packaging materials, and sustainability certificates), and socioeconomic indicators (suitability for people with special dietary needs). Results: The results revealed a low proportion of products met the proposed sustainability criteria, highlighting the need to promote sustainability in the vending machine industry. Although food categories like dairy products, fruits, and nuts have better nutritional profiles, they are underrepresented. In contrast, items like biscuits, crisps, snacks, and pre-prepared sandwiches often exceed recommended fat, salt, and sugar levels. More than one-quarter of products contained palm oil, only two were labeled as palm oil-free, and a limited proportion of products were suitable for individuals with special dietary requirements such as gluten sensitivity and lactose intolerance. Discussion: Improving the food selection in vending machines, guided by suggested sustainability criteria, presents a promising strategy for reshaping the food environment and promoting sustainable healthy diets, taking into account nutritional, environmental, and socioeconomic indicators. Menjava delovnega mesta in zadovoljstvo zaposlenih v zdravstveni negiGregor Strlič, 2025, master's thesis Abstract: Fluktuacija zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi predstavlja pereč problem na globalni ravni, je posledica preobremenjenosti in nezadovoljstva zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi ter vodi v finančne izgube zdravstvenih organizacij in v nižjo kakovost oskrbe bolnikov. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, kateri dejavniki vplivajo na (ne) zadovoljstvo zaposlenih in kateri dejavniki vplivajo na odločitev o menjavi delovnega mesta med zaposlenimi v zdravstveni negi.
Uporabljena je bila kvalitativna metodologija raziskovanja. Podatki so bili zbrani z delno strukturiranimi intervjuji. Za analizo podatkov je bila uporabljena metoda konvencionalne vsebinske analize besedila.
Z analizo so bile dobljene kategorije doživljanje ob menjavi delovnega mesta, (ne)zadovoljstvo in menjava delovnega mesta ter vpliv menjave delovnega mesta. Zaposleni v zdravstveni negi so zadovoljni, če so spoštovani, slišani in razumljeni, če se dobro razumejo s sodelavci, niso preobremenjeni, imajo čas za zasebno življenje in so za svoje delo ustrezno plačani. Kot dejavniki nezadovoljstva so se izkazali: slab odnos nadrejenih, preobremenjenost, stres, izgorelost, neustrezno plačilo, ne prepoznavanje truda in delovni čas, ki vpliva na zasebno življenje. Menjava delovnega mesta je na zaposlene vplivala pozitivno, pri odločitvi pa so jih sorodniki in sodelavci v večini podpirali. Največ jih je za odločitev potrebovalo manj kot pol leta.
Rezultati kažejo, da so najpogostejši razlogi za nezadovoljstvo preobremenjenost, stres, izgorelost, slabi odnosi nadrejenih in slabi medsebojni odnosi. 10. Sprejemanje pouka na daljavo s strani dijakov v času pandemije covid-19Zvonka Šauperl, 2025, master's thesis Abstract: Uvod: Pandemija COVID-19 je v Sloveniji povzročila zaprtje šol in prehod pouka na daljavo. Namen zaključnega dela je bil ugotoviti, kako dijaki sprejemajo pouk na daljavo in uporabo informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije.
Metode: Uporabljena je bila kvantitativna metodologija. Podatki zbrani z anketnim vprašalnikom so bili analizirani z deskriptivno in inferenčno statistiko. Raziskovalni vzorec je bil namenski in je vključeval dijake ene srednje zdravstvene šole. Vključeni dijaki so bili tisti, ki so v šolskem letu 2022/2023 obiskovali 3. in 4. letnik. Sodelovalo je 205 dijakov.
Rezultati: Ugotovljeno je bilo, da so se dijaki med poukom na daljavo srečali s težavami, povezanimi z odmaknitvijo od šolskega prostora, učiteljev in sošolcev, a so pouk na daljavo sprejeli odgovorno. Dijaki so se med izvajanjem pouka na daljavo srečevali s številnimi izzivi, med katerimi so bili najizrazitejši pomanjkanje osebnega stika, težave s tehnično opremo in pomanjkanje motivacije. Kljub temu so dijaki prepoznali prednosti spletnega učenja, kot so prilagodljivost, prihranek časa in lažje razporejanje časa za učenje. Srečevanje z izzivi ni bilo povezano s spremembo učnega uspeha.
Razprava in zaključek: Ugotovitve kažejo, da je pouk na daljavo s pomočjo IKT prinesel nove izzive in priložnosti v izobraževanje dijakov. Razumevanje teh dinamik je ključno za nadaljnji razvoj in izboljšanje izobraževalnih praks tudi v prihodnosti, še posebej v pogojih, ko se izobraževanje vse bolj prenaša v digitalno okolje.
