Animacija protokolov podatkovne povezave z orodjem JASPERJanez Vošner

Abstract: V diplomski nalogi smo implementirali protokol z oddajo z mirovanjem in protokol s selektivno ponovno oddajo iz učbenika Computer Networks A. S. Tanenbauma s pomočjo orodja JASPER z namenom, prikazati obnašanje protokolov z animacijo. Najprej smo na kratko opisali vlogo in namen animacije protokolov ter navedli nekatera znana animacijska orodja. V jedru naloge smo najprej na splošno opisali orodje JASPER, njegovo zgradbo in koncept delovanja. Nato smo opisali oba protokola ter preslikavo njune implementacije iz programskega jezika C, kot si jo je zamislil avtor učbenika, v programski jezik našega orodja, javo. Pravilno delovanje razvite kode smo prikazali s podajo posnetkov animacije ter nekaterih možnih scenarijev v delovanju obeh protokolov.

Educating teachers and multipliers for future work with the elderly and the role of motivational workshops for the elderly's future participation in ICT training coursesHelena Blažun

Abstract: To find potential connection between positive experiences from ICT training courses gained by teachers and multipliers and their ability to affect elderlypeopleʼs willingness to learn ICT skills and motivate them for future participation in ICT training courses through motivational workshops. The evaluation of the ICT training courses for teachers and multipliers and the motivational workshops for the elderly. The data obtained was quantitative andanalyzed using SPSS software. The authors found a significant correlation between the number of possibilities for discussion provided during the ICT training courses for teachers and multipliers and the opinion that, from an overall perspective, the course helped the participants to be more sensitized to intergenerational issues and so understand the elderly people better. Similarly, the authors found significant correlation between the number of discussion possibilities during the motivational workshops for elderly and thelevel of interest in participation in future ICT training courses. Individuals who work in a teaching/learning process with elderly people need to be properly trained to be able to transfer knowledge and motivation to the elderly. Motivational workshops for the elderly should focus on individualizedlearning methods which positively affect elderlyʼs future motivation to learn ICT skills.

Lower correlation between biceps femoris contraction time and maximal running speed in children than in adultsJernej Završnik

Abstract: Biceps femoris is a major propulsor muscle in sprinting and its contraction time negatively correlates to the running speeds of adults. Our aim was to compare age and gender-related correlations between vastus lateralis and biceps femoris contraction times and running speeds during a longitudinal study of 9- to 14-year old children. On a yearly basis we conducted vastus lateralis and biceps femoris tensiomyographic measurements of muscle contraction time and maximal running speeds measured during 7 meter sprints with flying starts using photocells in 107 children (53 boys). Vastus lateralis contraction time was not correlated with the running speed. However, biceps femoris contraction time was negatively correlated with the running speed only in boys after the age of 12.9 years (Pearson r ranges from -0.391 to -0.426; p < 0.002). It was concluded that biceps femoris contraction time is far less correlated with running speed than in adult athletes (Pearson r = -0.60); however, the correlation is gender and age-specific. It seems that the knee flexor and hip extensor, biceps femoris, is not as yet the major determinant of running speed in 9- to 14-year old children at that age.
