PROGRAMSKO OGRODJE ZA PROCESIRANJE BESEDIL V NARAVNEM JEZIKU

Abstract: V magistrskem delu predstavimo področje obdelave naravnega jezika in besedilnega rudarjenja ter opišemo opravila obeh področij. Nadaljujemo z opisom generičnega programskega paketa GATE za procesiranje naravnega jezika, predvsem besedil v angleškem jeziku. V glavnem delu predstavimo lastno implementacijo razširljivega programskega paketa za procesiranje besedil v slovenskem jeziku, kjer predstavimo interno zgradbo programskega paketa, podamo podroben primer implementacije programskega dodatka in zgradbo dokumenta, ki hrani rezultate procesiranja. Dodatno opišemo pomembnejše programske dodatke, ki smo jih izdelali. Delovanje programskega paketa predstavimo na konkretnih primerih uporabe.

Advanced features of Digital library of University of Maribor

Abstract: Advanced features of digital library of University of Maribor are described inthis paper. A short introduction describes some basic facts about the digital library and mentions its main purpose, but the main part of this paperis about features, that are mostly not found in other digital libraries. These features include integration with other information systems, plagiarism detection, informative and useful statistics about mentors and specific content extraction from documents, served by the digital library. We present existing functionality and describe some ideas for future development. A natural language processing framework, called TextProc, is also briefly mentioned, since it is used to perform plagiarism detection.

TextProc - a natural language processing framework and its use as plagiarism detection system

Abstract: A natural language processing framework called TextProc is described in this paper. First the frameworks software architecture is described. The architecture is made of several parts and all of them are described in detail. Natural language processing capabilities are implemented as software plug-ins. Plug-ins can be put together into processes that perform a practical natural processing function. Several practical TextProc processes are briefly described, like part-of-speech tagging, named entity tagging and others. One of those is capable to perform plagiarism detection on texts in Slovenian language, which is explained in detail. This process is actually used in digital library of University of Maribor. The integration of digital library with TextProc is also briefly described. At the end of this paper some ideas for future development are given.

Establishing of a Slovenian open access infrastructure: a technical point of view

Abstract: Purpose – This paper presents a technical perspective when implementing the Slovenian open access infrastructure that consists of four institutional repositories and a national portal that aggregates content from the repositories in order to provide a common search engine, recommendations of similar documents, and similar text detection. Design/methodology/approach – During the project, the necessary legal background and processes for mandatory submissions of final study works, research publications and research data were established, as well as processes for data exchange between the institutional repositories and the national portal, and processes for similar text detection. Findings – The consortium consisted of four Slovenian universities that significantly differ in size, organisation, and workflows. It was anticipated that exactly the same legal background and software would be used for the four repositories. It turned out that complete unification was impossible due to the differences. Practical implication – The national open access infrastructure will improve the visibility of Slovenian research organisations. It supports the compliance with the funders’ open access mandates. The established infrastructure enables the depositing and archiving of approximately eighty percent of the peer-reviewed scientific publications that are annually published by Slovenian researchers. At the same time, the majority of final study works from Slovenian higher education institutions are available in full-text format. Originality/value – This paper describes a technical perspective for setting up a national open access infrastructure, which has not been described in the literature previously.

Vzpostavitev repozitorijev slovenskih univerz in nacionalnega portala odprte znanosti

Abstract: V prispevku so predstavljeni pravni, organizacijski in tehnični vidiki vzpostavitve slovenske nacionalne infrastrukture odprtega dostopa do zaključnih del študija ter objav raziskovalcev, ki je sestavljena iz štirih institucionalnih repozitorijev slovenskih univerz in nacionalnega portala. Slednji agregira vsebine iz univerzitetnih repozitorijev in drugih slovenskih zbirk za potrebe skupnega iskalnika, priporočilnega sistema in detektorja podobnih vsebin. Razvita je bila programska oprema, ki je povezana z informacijskimi in avtentikacijskimi sistemi univerz ter s sistemom COBISS.SI. V okviru projekta so bile definirane pravne podlage, implementirani procesi za oddajo zaključnih del študija in objav zaposlenih, proces prenosa podatkov v nacionalni portal ter procesi izmenjave podatkov o priporočanju sorodnih del in primerjave podobnih vsebin. Uporabnikom z vsega sveta so na voljo dvojezične spletne in mobilne aplikacije, priporočilni sistem ter funkcionalnosti za uporabnike s posebnimi potrebami. Repozitoriji so učinkovito promocijsko orodje za univerze in njihove raziskovalce. Pričakovati je, da bodo izboljšali prepoznavnost slovenskih univerz v svetu. Kompleksno zasnovana nacionalna infrastruktura odprtega dostopa z detektorjem podobnih vsebin in s povezanimi zunanjimi sistemi bo omogočila hranjenje skoraj osemdesetih odstotkov recenziranih znanstvenih del, ki jih na leto objavijo slovenski raziskovalci. Prav tako bo dostopna večina zaključnih del študija, ki vsako leto nastanejo na slovenskih visokošolskih zavodih.

Odprti metapodatki slovenske nacionalne infrastrukture odprtega dostopa

Abstract: Podatkovna zbirka nacionalne infrastrukture odprtega dostopa je sestavljena iz metapodatkov in podatkov o avtorjih zaključnih del (diplome, magisteriji in doktorati) in raziskovalnih publikacij slovenskih univerz in drugih slovenskih zbirk (dLib, Videolectures.NET, DKMORS, repozitorij SciVie...). Nacionalni portal (najdete ga na http://www.openscience.si/) agregira vsebine iz univerzitetnih repozitorijev in drugih slovenskih zbirk za potrebe skupnega iskalnika, priporočilnega sistema in detektorja podobnih vsebin. Podatki so dosegljivi v formatih CSV, RDF/XML in n-triples. Dodana je tudi ontologija, ki jo uporablja nacionalna infrastruktura odprtega dostopa. Po podatkovni zbirki OpenScience lahko povprašujete tudi preko spletnega vmesnika. Vsaka poizvedba vrne objekt JSON s spremenljivo količino lastnosti (odvisno od podatkov, ki so na voljo in tipa zahteve).

Experiences from the setting-up of institutional repositories which are parts of Slovenian open access infrastructure

Abstract: This paper explains the architectural designs of the institutional repositories which are parts of Slovenian open access infrastructure and the challenges we had to deal with during the setting-up. Rules and processes for mandatory submissions of final study works, research data and research publications were established during the setting up of institutional repositories. An important aspect of this implementation was the support of Slovenian institutions management and good cooperation with librarians and IT professionals. Compared to establishing several repositories for individual departments or academies of each university or research institution, the proposed solution with a common institutional repository is more effective from the financial and time aspects as well as the human resources perspectives. Institutional repositories exchange data with the national bibliographic system COBISS.SI, Slovenian current research information system SICRIS, university information systems, and national open access infrastructure. The features unused in well-known open source solutions of institutional repositories are mentor statistics, automatic document segmentation, name authority control with CONOR.SI authority file and availability of institutional repositories from mobile applications for Android, Windows Phone, and iOS devices.
