Upravljanje tveganj distribucijskega elektroenergetskega sistema RS
Darja Kukovič, 2015, master's thesis/paper

Abstract: Pojmovanje kritične infrastrukture zajema vse tiste sisteme, katerih nedelovanje ali omejeno delovanje povzroča družbene krizne situacije.

Environmental management & audit 1: Scarcity & introduction to environmental management
2016, scientific monograph

Abstract: The present scientific monograph, entitled “Environmental management & audit“, is the result of three years’ work on an international project entitled “Environmental management in Russian companies – retraining courses for the sensibilization for and integration of Eco-Audit programs in corporate decision-making (RECOAUD)”. Within its more than 600 pages, the monograph features interesting texts written by 31 authors from the European Union and the Russian Federation, edited by dr. Borut Jereb, Darja Kukovič and dr. Daria Meyr. The monograph “Environmental management & audit“ is composed of four books: “Scarcity and Introduction of Environmental Management”, “Management Systems”, “Controlling and Stakeholders”, and “Environmental Assessment” (Featured Articles). These four topics reflect the complexity, heterogeneity and multidisciplinary of the project Tempus RECOAUD. The reader of the monograph gets a comprehensive overview of theoretical perspectives of environmental management and audit in the chosen areas. Furthermore, the monograph also highlights the results of research in the field of environmental management and audit as well as trends and challenges in the development of this field. Providing insight into theoretical and research findings, the monograph will prove useful to both practitioners and researchers in the field of environmental management and audit; it can also be used for study purposes.

Climate change adaptation
Borut Jereb, Matjaž Knez, Darja Kukovič, Tina Cvahte, Matevž Obrecht, 2016, independent scientific component part or a chapter in a monograph

Abstract: Since the industrial revolution, our society is driven by the increasing pace of change in business and technology. Every few decades, we are exposed to new and decisive events that bring challenges and create opportunities: think of a locomotive, electric lighting, car, airplane, television and computer. The most decisive event in the next 20 years may not come from an invention, but from the world around us - it is climate change.

Sustainability
Borut Jereb, Matjaž Knez, Darja Kukovič, Tina Cvahte, Matevž Obrecht, 2016, independent scientific component part or a chapter in a monograph

Abstract: Sustainable development aims to optimize the balance between economic, social and environmental objectives. Sustainable thinking reflects concerns about the long-term risks posed by the current consumption of resources, taking into account the objectives of intergenerational justice. This is clearly defined in the detailed definition of sustainable development by WCED (1987): "in essence, sustainable development is not a particular state of harmony, but rather a process of change in which the exploitation of resources, direction of investments, the orientation of technological investment and institutional changes are in harmony, in order to enhance the current and future potential to meet human needs and aspirations." The starting point is given by the economic and social development that meets human needs and desires, but also takes into account the natural resource base and social justice.

Green product
Borut Jereb, Matjaž Knez, Darja Kukovič, Tina Cvahte, Matevž Obrecht, 2016, independent scientific component part or a chapter in a monograph

Abstract: According to Kotler (1998) the product is the first and most important element of the marketing combination. Product strategy should include consistent decisions "about the product combination, group of products, brands, packaging and labelling." (Kotler 1998: 459). After we identify green products we will especially be interested in specific strategies for developing green products and packaging and green brand positioning. Shortly green products can be labelled as more durable, non-toxic, made from recycled materials and have less or only necessary volume of packaging (Ottman 1997: 89). Broader definition is given by Peattie (1995) who also considers the social dimension under the concept of green. He considers the product or service as green, where its effect on the natural environment and its social impact in terms of production, use or disposal, is significantly improved with respect to conventional products and services (Peattie 1995). Green product strategy should be implemented through: - Development of green product, - Green brand, - Eco-label and - Eco-design.
