Kakovost zraka v delovnem okolju in vplivi na zdravje
Peter Hribar, 2025, undergraduate thesis

Abstract: V današnjem času predstavlja onesnaženje zraka z emisijami trdnih delcev (PM), zlasti PM10, resen okoljski in zdravstveni problem.

Identifying the critical success factors for the introduction of an asset management system : a Delphi study in the healthcare sector
Damjan Maletič, Justyna Trojanowska, Matjaž Maletič, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: Purpose: For decades, attention has been paid to standardized management systems, both in academia and in practice. This study focuses on an asset management system (AMS), specifically the key critical success factors (CSFs) for implementing an AMS in healthcare organizations. Methodology/Approach: The study is based on a Delphi method with 15 participants from various Slovenian healthcare organisations who validated and defined the most important CSFs. Findings: The study shows a strong consensus among the experts with regard to specific CSFs in the areas of management and leadership, employee competencies and methods and tools for process improvement. Research Limitation/Implication: The Delphi study method is based on a selected sample of experts, which could have an impact on the generalizability and replicability of the research. Originality/Value of paper: This study provides a better understanding of CSFs for the implementation of AMS based on the opinion and consensus of experts holding different positions and professions in healthcare. As this topic has received little attention in healthcare research and practice, this study serves as a preliminary study to stimulate future work in this under-researched area.

Abstract: Young people play a pivotal role in instigating and driving significant changes. The impact of individuals’ involvement in environmental conservation, community development, and social change initiatives for sustainable value creation is of considerable importance in the pursuit of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The objective of this study is to examine the contribution of youth engagement in the creation of sustainable value by analyzing their comprehension and prioritization of the 17 SDGs, with the goal of achieving sustainable development and sustainability. The researchers conducted a study on a sample of 1085 individuals between the ages of 14 and 30, who were selected from three distinct countries within the Western Balkan region—the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Northern Macedonia. The data were analyzed using factor analysis in conjunction with descriptive and inferential statistics. The survey findings indicate that poverty, hunger, and access to adequate healthcare are the primary SDGs and societal challenges confronting the youth in these nations. Furthermore, it emphasizes the significance of both formal and informal education among youth as a catalyst for societal transformation for sustainable value creation.

44th International Conference on Organizational Science Development : Human Being, Artificial Intelligence and Organization, Conference Proceedings
2025, proceedings of peer-reviewed scientific conference contributions (international and foreign conferences)

Abstract: The 44th International Scientific Conference on the Development of Organisational Science was focused on developing and advancing knowledge in the organisational sciences, with a focus on the contemporary challenges and opportunities of our time. On the one hand, it is humans who have woven the knowledge of organisations and will continue to enrich the knowledge of organisations in the future. On the other hand, we need to take into account the situational factors and the wider environment that are intrinsic to understanding organisations. The title of this year's conference is: Human being, Artificial Intelligence and the Organisation. The society we live in today is going through a period of great change in various areas of our lives. Although our pace sometimes stops, the forces of the environment do not. The pace of change often no longer surprises us. But the pillars of our action, the achievements of human society, are something of which we can be justly proud. Artificial intelligence is one of the forces that has entered our everyday lives in many places in recent times. Where are the opportunities and where are the dangers of artificial intelligence, where is human intelligence still a significant step ahead of artificial intelligence?

The international energy security risk index in sustainable energy and economy transition decision making - a reliability analysis
Iztok Podbregar, Goran Šimić, Mirjana Radovanović, Sanja Filipović, Damjan Maletič, Polona Šprajc, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: The world economy and society are in a complex process of transition characterized by a high degree of uncertainty. Therefore, further development and management of the transition will largely depend on the quality of the decisions made and, accordingly, on the decision-making process itself. The main goal of this study is to analyze the reliability of International Energy Security Risk Index as a tool to support the process of energy and economy transition decision making, as closely related and highly interdependent phenomena. The index is composed of 29 aggregated variables (grouped into eight categories), and the research is conducted on a research sample of 25 countries over a period of 36 years. The reliability assessment is performed by using Multiple Regression Analysis. Multicollinearity test, plus Multicollinearity test with Variance Inflation Factors, is used for methodological verification. The test results indicate a high degree of unreliability of the Index, as is concluded based on the observed errors in its methodological settings. These errors primarily relate to a high degree of multicollinearity in all 29 variables, whereby independent variables lose their independence and thus jeopardize reliability of the total Index. Out of the eight groups of variables, the fuel imports group is the only one that does not show big methodological errors. The paper presents a recommendation for the improvement of the observed Index (review of the role of individual variables found to be particularly methodologically indicative), as well as a recommendation for different distribution of weighting coefficients.

An analysis of physical asset management core practices and their influence on operational performance
Damjan Maletič, Matjaž Maletič, Basim Al-Najjar, Boštjan Gomišček, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: The commitment of organisations to physical assets management (PAM) has recently received considerable attention in theory and practice. Indeed, PAM plays a key role in asset-intensive organizations and is also considered as a principal actor within Industry 4.0. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the PAM core practices and the performance implications of integrating these practices into business, in particular by assessing their impact on operational performance. Survey data were collected from managers in 138 international and local organisations. The data was analysed using Partial Least Squares Path Modeling (PLS-PM). The study validates the second-order construct consisting of PAM latent variables, namely Strategy and Planning, Risk management, Lifecycle Delivery, Asset Information, and Asset Review. The results have shown that PAM core practices directly influence operational performance. This paper is a response to recent calls for empirical studies on the organisational approaches that can increase the success of organisations.

V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge smo predstavili domačo in tujo strokovno literaturo s področja managementa kakovosti in s področja pandemije covida-19.
