Opis: | In this thesis we have explored the problem of the insufficient number of employees at the company TRIVAL ANTENE Telecommunications equipment d. o. o., at the time of an increased workload. The company TRIVAL ANTENE Telecommunications equipment d. o. o., faced an increase in the workload in 2017, which required more employees. The company TRIVAL ANTENE Telecommunications equipment d. o. o. first considered alternatives, such as overtime, rearrangement of work and reorganisation of work. Considering the increased workload and the short deadlines, the company had to react quickly and appropriately, which is why they used new employees from inside and outside sources. The increased workload causes an additional burden for the people already employed, as well as the burden from additional work assignments, for which the employees do not always have sufficient knowledge. As mentioned, in cases like this, time is an essential factor and the company does not have a lot of time to train new employees, so one of the ways for gaining the knowledge for specific work assignments more quickly, is the implementation of a virtual educational workshop. Thus, in this thesis, we have explored the possibility of using a virtual educational workshop as one of the ways to educate the employees. The virtual educational workshop would also contribute to an easier replacement of an employee, in the case of their absence, and to teaching a newly employed worker. By giving the employees a survey, we have also researched how an increased workload affects them, and how new employees could be included in the work process faster and more efficiently. But with the research itself, we also wished to present a new way of educating, which is why we have filmed a video of a work assignment, which could help an employee or a newly employed worker with learning the work assignments during the time of their training. The video of the work assignment shows the entire process of carrying out the assignment. The employee in the video also narrates the process. To make the filming easier, we have carried out the example of the video of the work assignment at the workplace, where the employee carries out her administrative works.
We have come to the conclusion that an increased workload positively affects the employees, in the sense of their contentment, good working conditions and the low fluctuation and absenteeism. The employees are satisfied with working at the company TRIVAL ANTENE Telecommunications equipment d. o. o. and are not thinking of leaving the company due to the increased workload. We believe that the solution to the quicker gaining of the skills needed for individual work assignments and to help with training a new employee, would be a virtual educational workshop, combined with an online educational platform – Moodle, where the more difficult work assignments would be explained and introduced in the form of a video, and the simpler ones in the form of a workplan uploaded onto the Moodle. Beside the Moodle, we also found another interesting platform Panopto, which supports video materials for companies and more. This way, the employees would always have access to updated plans and videos of work assignments on their mobile devices. Based on the research, we believe that the videos of work assignments would be fully appropriate for the employees, while the newly employed would require additional directions from a superior or a mentor. |
